yast-autoinstallation's Issues

How does Yast get installed on latest opensuse version distro?

Hello,
How does Yast get installed on latest opensuse version distro?
My system admin has installed opensuse latest edition on my server but they say yast does not come with it .
Here is my system admin support ticket response;

echnical Support || Staff
Hi Heather,

There was no option to install Yast control panel while doing the opensuse install.

Support Partition UUIDs

When creating partitions, only UUID or disk ID are supported.

        <partition>
          ...snip...
          <mountby config:type="symbol">uuid</mountby>
          ...snip...
        </partition>

Ideally, there would be a partition UUID option available.

        <partition>
          ...snip...
          <mountby config:type="symbol">part-uuid</mountby>
          ...snip...
        </partition>

Is this possible? Sorry if this shouldn't be posted here, I didn't see any guidelines for enhancements.

Where's Auto Upgrade?

I see Auto Upgrade as the capacity to upgrade thru a GUI like I mention in opensuse upgrade

But that's nowhere to be found :"(

it's probably the oldest request on openSUSE LOL.

Please, consider it...

Allow import of custom Certificate Authorities during installation

Hello!

I often have to add custom CA Authorities for various internal resouces where suse is being deployed. Currently i use scripts during the installation phase to accomplish this.

Is it envisioned that there is support for importing SSL CAs during the autoinstalltion?

second stage - skip repo check

Hello there,

I try to install OpenSUSE leap 15.4 with AutoYaST with Uyuni (Suse Manager)

My problem is that the machines that i install is not connected to the internet, but in second stage (when the salt client install it) AutoYaST try to update the repos. It has been timed out and need a manual "skip" push, to move it forwards.

info:
i add the uyuni client tools repo, that contain salt and dependencies a previous step, the problem is the original repos (main, update, etc..)

My question is that possible to disable it (not the full second stage, only the repo check) because now the "untouched" install is not work.

None or wrong base product has been defined

I am not sure this is the right place for this issue, but maybe you can point me to the right place, or have an idea where the problem might be rooted.
I am using an Uyuni system to deploy images within the local network, with the Cobbler/AutoYast/Online repo setup. This worked fine just last month, but now I get this:
image
I am uncertain if this issue is located somewhere remotely or in one of my config files. I can say that at least within the autoyast file things seem fine, with the default Leap product defined. Any ideas are welcome.
