overlay-clock

A small browser extension that displays an overlay digital clock at the top-right corner of the tab.

Click on the clock to hide it for a few seconds, hover to display date.

Features:

  • 24-hour or 12-hour clock
  • Clock displayed on any tab, or only when in full screen
  • Colors and fonts can be configured
  • Change on-screen location and depth (Z index)
  • Exclude from specific domains

Based on the original Overlay Clock extension.

Display seconds

An option to be able to display seconds would be great and make this extension perfect

Background opacity

From the Chrome Store:

Background opacity has a bug: that opacity setting also affects text opacity, which it should not (or at least they should have separate controls)

Verified as a bug.

firefox version

I love this extension, very useful for browsing in fullscreen all the time... I have browsed the firefox addons pages and haven't found any similar addons for firefox. Please consider making a port of this addon for firefox :)

Great extension, love it when working in full screen! Thank you for making it!

@yaronf Could you maybe come back to this extension after years and add some functions? Or maybe you or someone else knows/uses another extension, giving an overlay clock in Chrome, that is being actively developed?

List of wishes:

  1. Possibility of moving (dragging) the clock on screen, in case it is obscuring something?
  2. Date on mouse over?
  3. Any other ideas?
