jxtextpane's Issues

JAR and Source out of Date

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Download JAR and Run with Example.java
2. Download source and Run with the same Example.java

What is the expected output?
To both compile and work the same.

What do you see instead?
The source code is missing the 'RegExpHashMap' class inside 'SyntaxColorizer'.
So the example class that was written in 2010 does not work with the 2011/2012
source code. Looking at the decompiled class files from the JAR, there was alot
of code taken out of that class.

The JAR file is the first release from 2010, while the source code has been
updated on 2011/2012. A new JAR should be released, unless there is some reason
why it shouldn't be. You are distributing an old JAR while you have made
changes and probably fixes that no one else is getting.
The example classes need to be updated, along with the example given on the
main page since 'RegExpHashMap' has vanished.

Dependency on swingx not mentioned

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Download jar release
2. Add to project
3. Missing class files!

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
I would expect you to offer the two bundled in a download, or give a link to
another download source on the main page.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
First release, on Debian sid.

Please provide any additional information below.

I've been looking all over for a project like this, and this one seems to fit
*exactly* what I was looking for. Not too big and complex, has all the
features I want, and even the license!

setKeywordColor accepts hash map only

why not make it accept any map?
also, the RegExpHashMap from the example is not public (i don't quite
understand the role of RegExpHashMap after all)
