nonicons's Issues

Vertical Icon Alignment

So with the latest releases I have this problem again: #11 (comment)

3334b8d is the last commit where the dist/nonicons.ttf file is working. Note however that when I checkout this commit and run yarn update again, then this file changes, and is then also misaligned!

Empty directory / open empty directory icons don’t look correct

Hello!

Unicode characters f114 and f115 refer to empty directory / opened empty directory in fontawesome / nerdfont (example here). However, when using nonicons in nvim, you can notice that the icons seem to default to two completely unrelated icons:

  • f114 () is this icon:
    Screenshot_20210418_125524
  • f115 () wraps back to bug:

GraphQL(`.gql`) Icon is not displayed

It seems that .gql icon is not displayed.

CleanShot 2022-02-23 at 22 35 03@2x

However, .graphql seems to be displayed.

If you need any additional information, please reply.

Thank you for the beautiful icon! :)

Icons are no longer vertically centered in terminal

As of commit 2644552 the icons are no longer vertically centered within a cell in a terminal emulator.

Sample icon on commit 598b1bc:

nonicons_good

Sample icon on commit 2644552:

nonicons_bad

These images were captured running

  • Neovim: NVIM v0.6.0-dev+642-g07223fae5
  • kitty 0.24.1
  • nonicons.ttf

As you can see, in the first image the Lua icon is vertically centered within the terminal cell but in the second it is aligned to the top of the cell.

[FeatureRequest] Add a TeX icon

Hi there! I saw your Reddit post and finally had the time to check out these icons, really great work! 🙂

I am currently facing another issue with the tex icon of nvim-web-devicons. Since your Neovim plugin replaces icons from that theme, a custom TeX icon could resolve this issue for me.

How are these icons converted to .ttf

I was just thinking that how are the .svg icons converted to a .ttf file

So, that If I have some .svg icons, how can I convert them to a .ttf file

Please share the workflow?

Can not set fallback font in alacritty

I am using alacritty as my main terminal and it does not support fallback fonts, what should I do?
Is there any way to patch my font and get nonicon icons?

Please support vscode

Hi, nonicons is very cool set of icons.
I'd like to use it with vscode, so I'd like you to make an extension for it.

About screenshot

Hi, the screenshot in the readme looks really cool. Which font and colorscheme are you using ? 😅

Feature Request: Add to the AUR

It would be really nice to have nonicons available from the AUR on Arch and Arch-based Linux distros. It would make updating whenever a new version comes out seamless.

Add elixir icon

It would be awesome to have an elixir icon for us alchemists.

Here is what the elixir icon looks like in web-devicons.
