refugees-hl2rp's Issues

Port schema changes

Move the schema changes to plugin overrides to allow it to be used on other servers or other contexts.

Feature: Administration System

Describe the solution you'd like
An plugin alternative to ULX with better support for the gamemode and the server.

  • Menu in the Tab Menu
  • Customizable
  • Easier administration
  • No need for "!commands" to disrupt roleplay. Commands are now built in the gamemode and can be silent.
  • Uses helix privilege system
  • More stability.

Describe alternatives you've considered
There's a similar project in Helix worth checking, however it isn't free. Alternatively ULX could remain during development.

Additional context
Submitted as memento.

Enhancement: Interface

Describe the solution you'd like
A complete rework of the default helix and hl2rp derma code for better appearance.

Primary goal is to make the gamemode feel fresh and modern as well as unique

Additional context
Submitted as a memento.

Feature: Custom Map - City 38

City 38

For now, this is a sketch which will be constantly updated until completion.

Design & Concept

City 38 is being designed as a newly "constructed" city. The combine has just recently designed this city, taking into account all their previous knowledge they've learned with the first cities. What this means is that combine facilities in this map are secure, defended and well guarded against all threats.
City 38 serves currently as a base of operations for production, improvement and shipping of Union Assets, including Overwatch assets. This means the combine in this map will have ground and air vehicles at their disposal. Should a dire situation ever arise, dispatching choppers, gunships and striders wouldn't take long.

The sewers contain several vents which leads into a vent maze, which can lead to secret areas, or straight to your doom.
For the sake of fucking you over and making things interesting, the vent paths will also change every map restart. Good luck.

  • Dark and Grim atmosphere.
  • Almost impossible to escape city without inside help.
  • Very secure and well defended combine installations
  • A "circular" map - Roadkill ("Basically a map where you can reach most places without backtracking")

Bug: Combine Locks dont link to doors when placed by the map

Describe the bug
ix_combinelock spawns without a door set, despite being told to assign to a door several times in several different ways. I cant figure out how to make it behave. So i'm posting this as a bug since it will probably take a good while to be fixed. If anyone wants to help..?

It just floats there due to its physics being asleep. Whenever the door touches it, it goes flying as its not parented to the door.
Whatever the hell happened?

Notes for later and for testing:
This behaviour was not tested with locks not placed by the map. If it broke those as well, then this needs some updating and some serious priority changes. Reverting is also a possibility but i dont want to give up on having locks placed by the map yet.

To Reproduce
Steps to reproduce the behavior:

  1. Open up a map in Hammer
  2. Place down a ix_combinelock
  3. Place a prop_door_rotating and give it a name
  4. Set the lock's target door to be the prop_door_rotating's name
  5. Compile and run the map

Expected behavior
The combine lock should be parented and connected to the door.

Feature: Combine Overlay 2.0

Describe the solution you'd like
A better version of CTO, combining features from other plugins.

  • Biosignal Tracking.
  • Quick radio.
  • Dispatch Menu.
  • Command Menu.
  • Waypoints.
  • Customizable overlay
  • Visual Data (Images and text on HUD)

Describe alternatives you've considered
Combine Technology Overlay can be used while the new overlay is made.

Additional context
Submitted as memento.
