libxml.c:6:18: fatal error: util.h: No such file or directory
The code is this:
#if RUBY_INTERN_H
#include <ruby/util.h>
#else
#include <util.h>
#endif
Which is provided by the Ruby MRI interpreter. If you are using JRuby, don't think this is going to work. I think Nokogiri has a JRuby specific version that wraps libxml2 - maybe give that a try?

Yes sure @kwent - I just changed a dependancy to use nokogiri.
