Outsource the pathToCheck variable to a config file.
For this write a function that reads the config file on script start and fill the local variable with the result or C:/ if no config is provided. The config file should be expected as JSON and should be named find-duplicate-files.config. The key where the user inputs the desired path should be named directory. To read the config file use nodes fs or fs/promises library, to stay on 0 dependencies for this project.

If Promise.all throws any errors. All unresolved promises will still be processed. This can lead to unknown results.

Migrate the current garbage to a well designed tauri desktop app.

The /delete endpoint in the backend should be an HTTP DELETE request instead of a POST.
