This also keeps happening to me - so much so I've needed to revert to just using the particles.js <script> tag in index.html for now.
It seems to happen a lot of the time for me when calling setState() from within a lifecycle method.

It is almost assured that the function canvasClear in ParticlesLibrary throws the error.
It is not clear tho why is this happening and why it is not easily reproducible.
If someone can reproduce it, here is a sandbox: Sandbox.

So sorry @wufe, even in the same environment, It could not be reproduced, version: 2.1.0.
