Use as a Normal ESP32 Programmer

Hello and apologies, this is not an issue more of a question.

I am looking to convert a ESP32 device with onboard USB to be a ESP32 programmer, to use the RX, TX, GPIO and ENable pins on the target device in order to flash the target device.

I believe that with the USB Serial adapters, DTR and CTS are used to toggle the GPIO and Enable pins to initiate programming, and I was hoping to find a solution to do this just by using an ESP32 and no USB serial convertor or additional components.

I am using Arduino and are able to convert the device to act as a Serial Monitor, and even though I added code to detect a serial connection and put the device into bootload mode (hold GPIO low and toggle reset) esptool seems unable to communicate with the device and program it.

I may also post similar thread on the Arduino forum so apologies if any duplication.
