Report of fix upstream
In https://twitter.com/justincormack/status/1155793132950364161 @justincormack reports that this issue has been fixed upstream by @pm215 noted at https://bugs.launchpad.net/qemu/+bug/1696773 .
The patch is at qemu/qemu@5bfce0b , "linux-user: Make sigaltstack stacks per-thread".
I don't know yet if this fix will make it into 4.1.0 which is at rc2 right now.
Build arm64 test binary
Thanks for writing this bug reproducer.
It seems likely that this issue with threading and goroutines was also independently discovered by Cloudflare to affect arm64, and they write up their findings at https://blog.cloudflare.com/porting-our-software-to-arm64/
The request is simple, to distribute an arm64 version of this binary to assist in test reproduction on 64-bit arm platforms.
