This is a great package and is easy indeed, however I find that it's a tad aggressive for our needs. We have multicolour SVG on some of our icons (controlled by variables) and we often need a fallback colour set within the SVG.
While it is usually ok to remove fill, it isn't in my use-case. I was wondering if you were open to get a PR adding for a way to change the options.

My broad idea would be to keep the defaults that you have, but make them overrideable so it keeps being easy in nature but can be extendable / changed if needed.

This just cost me 1hr debugging - from 10 svgs, 1 had a missing closing tag and the error returned was the following cryptic mess
