nix-build-ghc-android's Issues

Correct practice to resolve compilation issue with hackage packages

Hi - I'm playing around with compiling some packages with ghc-android, but some of them don't seem to work, e.g., linear.

What I did is:

  1. add linear to ghc-android.ghcWithPackages in env-shell.nix
  2. enter nix-shell, see whether it works
  3. found error - git clone linear and try to resolve it manually
  4. at this point all the dependencies which succeeded in building for linear are not seen anymore - have to manaually install the dependencies
  5. the dependencies don't seem to install manually - or require lots of additional tweaking

What's the standard / recommended way to install such a package into ghc-android? I assume maybe a better way is just to update the hackage-packages.nix somehow with another version?

Doesn't work

Tried it but neither the arm-unknown-linux-androideabi-ghc is built nor the ghc is 7.10.2.

Interestingly - in nixpkgs/top-level/haskell-packages.nix ghc-android is specified to use 7.8.4, contrary to what is claimed in README.
