walmart-cla's Introduction

Walmart Contributor License Agreement CLA

Overview

The Walmart CLA repository serves as the information provider for anybody interested in contributing to open source software managed by Walmart Inc. (“Walmart”) or any of its affiliates.

Walmart manages numerous open source projects on GitHub organizations such as WalmartLabs, OneOps, Electrode and others, as well as on other code hosting system.

Walmart retains and controls the copyright for all of these projects. The mechanism to ensure this control is called Contribute License Agreement CLA. A signed CLA is required from each contributor to these projects. Managers and owners for the specific repositories and projects are required to ensure signed CLAs exist for all incoming contributions - usually in the form of a pull request.

Usage

We use CLA assistant to automatically verify any pull request against a list of known contributors that have already signed the CLA.

Contributors

There are essentially 3 different scenarios for contributors.

Walmart Employee or Contractor as Contributor

If you are a Walmart employee or contractor, you essentially already signed a CLA as part of your on-boarding. Simply fill in the required details and indicate that you are associated with Walmart in the last question.

Individual Contributor

If you are contributing as an individual, simply fill in the required details and agree to the CLA.

Corporate Contributor

If you are contributing as an employee of another company or organization, you need to ensure that a corporate CLA has been signed and submitted to us.

Then simply fill in the required details and indicate the company you are associated with and that a corporate CLA is signed in the last question.

Repository Owners

If you are a repository owner and reviewing pull request you need to ensure that the CLA was signed. The CLA assistant adds a check to each PR and verifies that.

You should not merge any changes without a passing CLA check.

Corporate CLAs

If you want to set up a corporate CLA with Walmart, please review the documents in this repository (PDF or markdown format) and contact us as detailed below.

Available Documents

Markdown and PDF versions of the individual and corporate CLA can be found in this repository for your record.

The CLA used with CLA assistant is an identical copy managed by the walmart-cla-admin user on GitHub in a gist.

Find out more about our open source efforts from our code.walmartlabs.com website.

For external contact beyond signing the CLA please file an issue with this repository with contact details and we will reach out to you. Alternatively you can email us at [email protected] for assistance.

Timed out while waiting for the machine to boot. This means that
Vagrant was unable to communicate with the guest machine within
the configured ("config.vm.boot_timeout" value) time period.

If you look above, you should be able to see the error(s) that
Vagrant had when attempting to connect to the machine. These errors
are usually good hints as to what may be wrong.

If you're using a custom box, make sure that networking is properly
working and you're able to connect to the machine. It is a common
problem that networking isn't setup properly in these boxes.
Verify that authentication configurations are also setup properly,
as well.

If the box appears to be booting properly, you may want to increase
the timeout ("config.vm.boot_timeout") value.

OneOps Installation on Centos 7

Hi,

I am actually trying to install OneOps installation on Centos 7 bypassing vagrant. So the steps which I followed was after cloning the setup from vagrant-centos7.
After the installation, I executed oo-setup.sh but it gets stuck at waiting for jenkins to come online.

Need some help.

Activating CLA Assistant

This issue is created to notify everyone in the walmartlabs and walmart github organizations about the activation of CLA assistant.

Please review the information on the walmart internal website https://sde.walmart.com/blog/2018-01-22-cla-made-easy.html
as well as the readme of this repository.

Notification to all members will go out via github notifications and CLA assistant will be activated shortly.

Deploying failed due to sshkeys

For any platform I create for the Openstack cloud, I am getting failed deployments at the sshKeys component level (step 1 in the deployment plan).
I can't modify the component to add any ssh keys, and pressing repair (as the admin) gives me unauthorized access.
Here is the error output I see from the deployment plan logs

[2016-03-30T02:10:06+00:00] ERROR: no implicit conversion of nil into String

Regarding OneOps API Documentation

Hi,

This is not a bug.

I was going through the API Documentation and wasn't able to clearly understand how the API works in OneOps. Basically the complete workflow of how oneops API works.

Need help in this regard.

Thanks

How to make changes to an instance with out stopping production

I had three instances running in a cluster How to forcefully remove an instance from the production environment so that other two are running and mean while we make changes to the instance and again up the process in order decrease the maintenance of production time and so on for other two instances too.

Is oneops safe to deploy in a cloud with existing infrastructure?

I deployed it on a test account and followed the deploy with the test assembly and I noticed in the logs that it was running queries on currently running instances.

Why is it doing that, and will it modify existing infrastructure that isn't configured somewhere in oneops?
