Step-by-Step to Promote the First Video (Google IO 2024)

1. Account Setup

  1. Create or log in to your YouTube Studio account.
  2. Access the Promotions tab:

  1. Start a new promotion:

    • Select the "Google IO 2024" video.
  2. Define the campaign goals:

    • Choose "Increase the number of subscribers"
  3. Set the budget and schedule:

    • Define a daily or total budget according to your plan (around $300).
    • Choose the start and end dates for the campaign (June 10 to June 16).

3. Audience Selection

  1. Define the target audience:

    • Select demographic characteristics, interests, and behaviors that best describe your target audience (e.g., young adults, technology professionals).
  2. Choose keywords and topics:

    • Add relevant keywords to the video, such as "Google IO 2024", "Google innovations", etc.
    • Select topics related to technology and innovation.

4. Monitoring and Adjustments

  1. Launch the campaign:

    • Review all settings and click "Start Promotion" to launch your video ad campaign.
  2. Monitor performance:

In this assessment, you will be doing the following things:

  • Delete videos that do not meet our quality standards
  • Cut videos as necessary
  • Create indexes/chapters to identify the main topics in the best videos
  • Add the cards at the end of the main videos

New checklist to Youtube`s process

Pre-video (grant, video-voting, core strategy)

  • selection and approval of the idea on Discord;
  • grant insertion for content in weekly playlists;
  • monthly distribution of content through playlists according to study group themes or keywords for SEO;

Playlist template for study groups

  • macro theme equal to the group;
  • 4 videos (minimum) per playlist for weekly publication;
  • vary the direction for each of the videos in the playlist (technical video, list, explanation of concepts, current market trends);

During video

  • scenery (chroma key intro and transparent background during camera display)
  • audio and image ok
  • technical and formal language (use brand terms such as builder, construction, builds, codar, etc.);
  • intro video presenting theme, playlist and summary.
  • intro video inviting you to connect to discord, subscribe and activate channel notifications.
  • presentation templates with brand branding;
  • call to study groups on the respective topic and invitation to follow the next video in the playlist on the topic;

Post-video

  • use minimalist titles;
  • tags, summary, discord and study group links in the description;
  • configure hashtags, language, age restrictions etc in post settings
  • Customized thumbnail according to the video theme (use a customized template)
  • pop ups with the brand's brand during invitations to connect to discord or subscribe to the channel;
  • qr code with group links during the videos;

Rebranding Youtube

  • Different and personalized Thumbs for each video;
  • Rebranding Cover Youtube. Suggestion: humanize avatars of the most engaged members;
  • Create live start/end image;

Edition`s setting

  • Pop-us throughout the video with personalized WEB3DEV`s accounts stickers;
  • Put a preview at the end of the videos suggesting the next video to watch (that correlates with the content)
  • Invitation from the creators to comment on keywords. Editor will include the highlighted word in the edition.
