voron-legacy's Issues

Missing cap screw recess in lcd_pivot.stl

The lcd_pivot.stl is missing the recess for the head of the cap hex screw. The part in CAD has the recess. The stl file is not usable without the recess as it the screws would interfere with the frame.

Direct drive instead bowden setup for legacy

Hi, first of all GREAT project
I was about to start building but I see there is no direct drive setup, is it possible to see direct drive for e3d v6?
For setup like that there is no point for me to add metal throat without direct, had too much issues with bowden+metal throats (and I think it isn't only me with that)

weak x to y axis joint.

Problems with x to y axis joint weakness. If you plan to do a printer overhaul, this is an issue to be aware of.
xy_joint_backbrace should have larger size brace, maybe m5 screws, to remove axial movement.
For my part I am trying to think how to deal with the design without too much intervention to the original design.

12mm Z shafts

I'm going to be rebuilding a worn out Hypercube that I built 3 years ago as a Voron Legacy. Any way to reuse the 4x12mm Z-shafts that I used originally?
I'm fairly proficient with Fusion 360. If I can get the 3 corresponding part files with the sketches I can probably iterate them myself and feed them back if wanted.

Quad Z Option

Add 4-axis option for Z, option with threaded bar and belt.

X gantry mounting to y faulty

The x gantry being mounted to the y by means of 4 m3 bolts into thermal inserts isnt good enough the way the x rails mount into their own holder means when trying to tighten the belts you rack the x gantry , doing this loosens your thermal inserts and pulls them out of the y axis mount meaning you will need to reprint the y axis mounts again and again until you get the printer tight on the first try this is a seriously overlooked issue and i would have the mounting for the rods swapped to the y gantry and use the previous mounting plates be used as purely locking plates with some leeway for racking while tightening belts , appologies for useless english im a bit dyslexic , the suggssted change would also make the x gantry much more rigid as it is fairly flimsy atm

lower z shaft support models have exactly 8mm holes (no shrink tolerance)

I noticed when i printed these parts my rods did not fit. I see the upper equivalents have an 8.1mm hole for the shaft. Likewise, the Voron 1.8 has 8.2mm holes for the shafts.

I had to print these parts at 101%. others have drilled the hole or sanded the rod.

Is the 8mm hole on the lower shaft supports intentional or an oversight?
