The app is built using React, HTML, and CSS, API is used to get information about Star Wars movie characters. Fetched data stored and redux store. There are 3 pages - main page, about page, and specific character information page.

React Catalog project

This is the project which uses the Star-Wars api. The app fetches the Star Wars characters 12 perpage and you can see more details of the character if you'd like to. This is a "catalogue of clothes for dogs" based project.

Available Scripts

npm start

Runs the app in the development mode.
Open http://localhost:3000 to view it in the browser.

The page will reload if you make edits.
You will also see any lint errors in the console.

npm test

Launches the test runner in the interactive watch mode.
See the section about running tests for more information.

npm run build

Builds the app for production to the build folder.
It correctly bundles React in production mode and optimizes the build for the best performance.

The build is minified and the filenames include the hashes.
Your app is ready to be deployed!

To get this project on your local machine, follow these steps:

  1. Run this command git clone https://github.com/visva-dev/React-Catalog.git in the desired folder to clone the repository on to your local machine. After cloning the project, you should move into the directory where the project is stored, for example cd react-catalog.

  2. Then run the following command install the necessary dependencies

    npm install
  • Run npm run start to start the local server.
    • Run npm run test to start the testing.
