The forum at Cocoaforge is virtually inaccessible now.

Is it possible to get a new certificate?

As mentioned in #41, the Cocoaforge forum causes some problems.

I propose to close the Vienna forum on Cocoaforge and add links to the GitHub page instead (e.g. in the forum description, in an announcement thread, maybe in some threads with recent activity). If needed, this could be done in several stages: announce it, disable the creation of new threads and finally close the forum.

Thoughts?

I don't know how to pull the content of these articles, as there is some redirection mechanism which prevents me from logging into the old Wordpress backend.

Hello, I saw a topic (https://forums.cocoaforge.com/viewtopic.php?t=27269&p=141053#p141053) and wanted to answer that I have always see that stars icon too and to add some additional information (macOS version, installation folder, etc.) but I cannot complete the registration on this forum — the message is not send to me.

It appears we forgot to test the Blog section of the website and it doesn't work... Shouldn't be too hard to fix on the weekend I guess...

The style archives etc are currently stored on sourceforge server - we need to copy them into the GitHub pages repository to serve them up.

Main issue is the logo doesn't seem to load on mobile:

Replace outdated info on the development page with CONTRIBUTING.md from the main src repository so we don't have to keep multiple pages with the same information up to date.

Ideas as discussed on IRC:

• Pull https://github.com/ViennaRSS/vienna-rss/releases.atom to automate blog posts for new releases.
• Pull https://github.com/ViennaRSS/vienna-rss/commits/master.atom (client side with xmlhttprequests?) to display a project pulse “8 commits in the last 9 days.” (from number of entries + days since oldest entry)
• Download button should point to https://github.com/ViennaRSS/vienna-rss/releases/latest rather than Sourceforge.

https://www.vienna-rss.com/about is quite out of date - it refers to sourceforge hosting and Wordpress themes which we no longer use.

Tasks:

• Redirect the domain to github pages
• Back up sourceforge hosting files
• Disable sourceforge hosting
• Replace any remaining reference to https://viennarss.github.io with https://www.vienna-rss.com
