If you delete all characteristics, the field will not remove any of them

I shouldn't be able to save an element when a required attribute is not present

Dietary requirements

The drilldown should attempt to adhere to the order provided

This would make a characteristic pre-populate in fields and throw an error if it's not filled out

Example:

Answers include: A, B, C, D

If I select C, I would want answers A,B, and C to be related but not D

If we have content, may as well use it.

But maybe a characteristic can have multiple values??

With this setting, the field values would not be free-form on the entry. They would need to be predefined.

The drilldown can currently result in a characteristic appearing that only has one answer, since it's only been used on a specific set of elements. The idempotent value would be one can not be assigned directly to an element, but would still be shown in the drilldown as an answer (and still support fields.). This value would have no impact on the result set - it would essentially "skip" the question.

Example values might be:

• "None of the above"
• "I don't know"
• "No preference"
