drapery's Issues

[In progress] Migrate to Materialize.css

Bootstrap it's currently too bloated and follows a very "normal" standard design so it requires a lot of tweaking in local .css files, not to mention some properties this project will never use.

Materialize is a CSS library based on Material Design, the same design scheme that POP uses, initial migration may break some things and could take some time to fix broken changes.

Consider:

  • New branch for migration
  • Getting help

Bootstrap migration

Migrating to Bootstrap implied breaking code, need to fix the login screen before:
21/11/2018.

Broken things:

  • Logo
  • Name
  • Login Fields
  • Button
  • Forgot link

[EXPERIMENTAL] Sign-up system

The sign up system is not ready for initial deployment.

This feature must remain commented & in an experimental state, and it should be released only when drapery is deployed initially.

Favicon needs a universal color

The current favicon looks somewhat ugly in dark-mode browsers but not in white-themed ones.

One of the possible fixes is to select a universal color to match bote white/dark themes or detect what is the user's current browser settings.

Dropdown list doesn't work in Student's main panel.

The student-panel-groups.php file should contain a user photo in the top right corner that allows the user to modify it's profile or log out of Drapery, however I think some JavaScript is missing or something in the HTML tabs is wrong.

Full PHP migration

To make a tiny PHP backend some files must be migrated to PHP instead of HTML, should do that before setting the server into production.

Cancel Button doesn't work [signup.php]

The cancel button in the signup.php file should take the user back to the main index.php file, however the "action" tag does not redirect the user to the current page.

Limit current contribs

Due to time & convenience reasons, current contribs will be limited before 11/21/2018. Past that time I will turn this repo private to keep contributing myself. This change is temporary and repo will resume it's public status in 12/1/2018.
