Readme not correct: AirDrop works, Legacy BIOS too.

Thanks for your advice and config. Just one little note: At least with the Big Sur only EFI, AirDrop works out of the box. Dual booting with Linux Mint works within OC.

Legacy BIOS is possible with a workaround: I just need to tell my BIOS to look for Legacy first, and can boot into Win10.

Sound Not Working

Hi! Thanks for this awesome repo, it works great! The only problem I have is that audio doesn't work.

DW1820A support

Are there any kexts for the DW1820A Wifi card compatible with this version?

Iservice issue

Hey, my iMessage and facetime aren't working. It keeps signing me out right after I sign in. I already reissued my MLB, SPN, SSN, and UUID, but that didn't work. Is there any fix? (I'm on Big Sur)

DP port not working

Hi, I follow the instruction and installed the Monterey version successfully. I found the mini DP somehow is not working when I use a DP to HDMI cable to connect an external monitor. The external monitor somehow has no signal input or shows a snow screen (static noise). I wonder how can I fix it?

Headphones buzzing noise

Hello, first of all, thank you for making this guide and repo.

Everything is working fine, I just found a buzzing noise when using headphones through auxiliar cable.

Tried to see if was a sound config, but no.

Also thank you for fixing the audio, now everything is working fine, only this thing.

Regards.

Can I upgrade to Monterey?

I want to upgrade to the latest and the greatest, but how? I suppose putting the Monterey EFI folder when Software Update downloads mac os. Then I can continue.

Docking Station Compatibility

This isn't an issue, but I want to report that the docking station's USB ports, displayport, and VGA ports all work. Thank you for the great hackintosh guide

Stuttering / Choppy Audio with Airpods

macOS 11.4 Big Sur
I connect the Airpods (2nd generation) without a problem with the Bluetooth but while listening to music audio stutters or gets choppy frequently. Also it drops altogether sometimes. I resetted the bluetooth module but it did not helped at all.

What trackpad do you have installed ?

Thanks for your hard work.
What trackpad do you have installed? I tried both the synaptic T450 and the regular one that the T440p comes with. They both don't allow me to scroll nor left click. Everything is Force Click and causes a preview to pop up.
Do you have the system settings trackpad preference panel working? Mine is blank.

Built-in Camera doesn't work

  • MacOS: 11.4
  • EFI Folders tested:
    • EFI - Big Sur
    • EFI - HeliPort
  • bios settings are ok

I have no technical knowledge to find the cause of this problem.

Unable to change language in config.plist

Hi everyone,

I changed my language on the config.plist "prev-kbd"; However, when I try to boot from the USB into the recovery partition.

The language is still German, I'm not sure of the steps I need to take to fix this problem. Any insight is greatly appreciated.

Thank you.

Disable CFG on T440P

Hello, i am trying to find someone who has disabled CFG Lock on T440P, so that i can know if its possible on BIOS v2.55
I believe that disabling CFG Lock will be better than using AppleXcpmCfglock and could resolve some minor issues like perhaps crash when sleep if display is connected to dock.

cheers

Boot Camp Assistant (Windows)

I've been trying to create a Windows 10 partition using Boot Camp Assistant, but always get an error that says "Your disk couldn't be partitioned"

I've tried every possible solution on the mac's support pages, but still no luck. That's why I was thinking that it may be related to the t440p.

Do you know any way to do this properly?
Thanks.

Upgrade to Big Sur from Catalina

Hi! Thanks for the such a detailed guide, I installed Catalina without any issues. I was wondering if I can update to Big Sur inside macOS now or do I need to follow the same steps again and install it by downloading Big Sur? Are there any specifics precautions I need to take? Sorry I'm new at Hackintosh and I don't want to broke something while updating :D It would be great if you write a process about updating as well.

Can't Wake Up From Sleep.

Can't wake up from sleep.

  • macOS Version: Big Sur 11.3.1
  • EFI Version: 1.5.0
  • EFI type (regular or HeliPort): Regular

When the laptop goes into sleep, I press the power key to wake it up, but this doesn't work.
I have to shut it down and power it up again.

Boot Loop after 1st Installer Reboot

Hello,
I tried using the latest release (v1.4.0) with macOS 11.2.3 and 11.4.
I am able to boot into the macOS Installer and initialize the install, but after the first reboot my laptop goes into a boot loop.
The boot menu will appear once and I'll select "macOS Installer", but after that it panics and goes into a boot loop, where the OC menu won't even appear.
I also had some issues in 11.4 where it would mess with my EFI bootloader, with the BIOS having to recover some EFI variables.
I can supply more information as requested. Thanks!
The only thing non-baseline about my T440p is that it has an FHD IPS screen mod.

Can't boot to installation.

Describe the bug
Can't boot to macOS installation. Stuck at the Apple logo, loading bar half way filled up.

Device (please complete the following information):

  • macOS Version: 12 (Monterey)
  • EFI Version: 0.7.1
  • EFI type (regular or HeliPort): regular (EFI - Monterey)

Additional context
I'm using a Thinkpad L440, which is internally equivalent to the T440p.

Volume Hash Mismatch Error

Hey valnoxy, i have installed macOS Monetery on my Lenovo Thinkpad T440p it's working perfectly, so thanks a lot for sharing this guide.

But I have received this error:

Volume Hash Mismatch
Hash mismatch detected on volume disk1s5.
macOS should be reinstalled on this volume.

Here is a screenshot of the error: https://user-images.githubusercontent.com/55034706/158290686-e42ae21f-e34f-46bf-885a-1fbf64c6c027.jpeg

Even after getting this error, everything on my Laptop works just fine. But a person on the web told me that "I should resolve this issue" & gave me this troubleshooting option.

Turn on Laptop or restart
Enter macOS Recovery by holding Windows key & R at the same time till the Apple Logo shows up
Go to Disk Utility in macOS Recovery
Unmount everything below "Container disk 1" & run First Aid
Restart/Reboot the Laptop
I have tried this troubleshooting option but I'm not sure / can't confirm wether the problem has been resolved or not.
I have also not received any notification regarding that error.

On my Disk Utility nothing has changed either. https://user-images.githubusercontent.com/55034706/158293012-fcc39dc4-5c3a-49ee-8d29-d90384d4ecd4.png

It says "Mount' but when I click on it nothing happens. But I can mount it through a Software called "ESP Mounter Pro"

Download Link of ESP Mounter Pro: https://olarila.com/files/Utils/ESP%20Mounter%20Pro.app_v1.9.1.zip

Here's a screenshot after I mount the partition through ESP Mounter Pro: https://user-images.githubusercontent.com/55034706/158294068-d06972ab-d4e0-41ee-9c2d-fdb24f2c06f7.png

Please help me resolve this issue, i would really appreciate it.

Best Regards,
Faizan Afzal

Improve Thermals?

Amazing project btw, helped me solve a bunch of issues including Airport Wi-Fi. I used a different EFI repo before this one and noticed that it ran significantly cooler than this one. Is there something done there that could be applied here to result in better thermals? Where with that one the device would be lukewarm or not at all, this one is noticeably warm.

Question: Security Chip

On the readme.md i see that the Security Chip must be disabled. With Windows 11 coming and needing TPM enabled, i must ask: why does it have to be disabled to install macOS? Is there something that won't run with it enabled?

iPhone USB triggers nonstop "Trust this device" message loop

  • macOS 11.4 under EFI - Big Sur

When I plug my iPhone into my hackintoshed T440p into almost every port, I get a looped "Trust this device" message popup. I say almost because one of the USB ports only provide power (the one with usb and a label for a battery on the right side). I swapped cables and ports, and I still get the same result. Any suggestions? Let me know if you need any further documentation.

Multiple users support

I installed Big Sur on my T440p with this EFI successfully. After that, I found one serious problem. I created two accounts, both admin. If I login one while another has logged in, I can not open any application, and the taskbar is invisible. I don not know if anybody else has encountered the same problem. Any suggestion?

This thing only happen on this apps, if i use for example, google chrome, or transmissibilidade, my download speeds are normal. I tried with the Regular EFI (50/60kbps) and Heliport EFI (27/30kbps). My wifi is dual band wireless ac 7260. Can you help me?

Is the CPU speed limited to 2.6GHz (i5-4300M) or can it overclock?
How can I see the speed?
