child-labor-android's Issues

Accessibility - Individual Goods Screen - Application Does Not Remove All Content when Changing Exploitation Types

When going to “Beans (green, soy, yellow)’ individual goods screen and changing the ‘Exploitation Type’ to ‘Child Labor’ it still shows the country of ‘Burma’ even though it is not one of the types of exploited labor for it. Not sure if this good should have all three types of exploited labor but only two of them are shown on the screen. If you go to the ‘Beef’ screen and chose ‘Forced Labor’ then the one and only country of ‘Brazil’ goes away as expected.

Accessibility - Goods List Screen - TalkBack Reading is Incorrect

After reading what should be the heading screen TalkBack reads the first good after the section heading (needs to be heading) and then the section heading followed by the next country. Same thing happens with the other sections too and the same for other sections on the screen. Not sure why the content is being read out of order when it should be read from top to bottom then left to right.

The problem is for all the different tabs on this screen (A –Z and By Sector).

Usability - Information Screens - Previous Screen Navigation

When leaving the different information screens the application goes back to the main screen and I have to activate the ‘More Information” sections options again. Why not make a separate screen like there is on the iOS application to make it easier to use if a person is attempting to look at all this content?

Usability - Exploitation Types List Screen - Screen Switching Problem

When attempting to scroll through the list of items for an individual country if you happen to use one finger on a country that doesn’t have many exploitation types the screen switches to the next type listed at the top of the page. With the iOS version of the application, a person needs to tap the type at the top of the screen that you can do for Android too.

Accessibility - Too Small of Text

The text on the Samsung – Galaxy Tab S – version 5.0.2 it is too small. I’m afraid when people look at the application on a phone the text will look even smaller and people won’t be able to read it.

QA the Beta Version

Perform quality assurance, security assessment, and accessibility assessments for the Beta Version. Findings should be placed as new issues within this repository.

Accessibility - Main Country List - Incorrect Reading Order

After reading what should be the heading, screen TalkBack reads the first country after the letter ‘A’ and then the letter ‘A’ followed by the next country. Same thing happens with the letter ‘B’ too, and I’m assuming the same for other sections on the screen. A similar thing happens for the ‘By Level’ and ‘By region’ screen where TalkBack reads first country then the section title (should be a heading) and then the next country.

The problem is for all the different tabs on this screen (A –Z, By Level, and By Region).

Accessibility - Information Screens - TalkBack Does Not Read Content

While attempting to read the ‘Introduction’, ‘Reports Fact Sheet’, ‘OCFT fact Sheet’, and ‘Programs Fact Sheet’ Screens with TalkBack the only thing read was the ‘back button” and the word screen name. Talkback never read any of the other content, which I’m guessing is a PDF.

Accessibility - Poor Color Contrast

The color contrast between items (country names, goods, etc.) is hard to read because of poor color contrast. Which refers to the lines between items or countries, along with the text for each one.
