daikincon's Issues

Creating a harness

Hi,
I'm just wondering if I could create a harness for the BRP069B41.
I've got a FTXC-B unit, which has very little information on which adapter I needed ( the unit does not appear on daikin's "Connectable Units", but it clearly says CN_S21 - wifi adapter optional on the front of the unit ), so I brought a B41 for £10 on ebay.
I'm pretty sure I need the B42, which is a bummer, but do you think I could create a harness for it, or buy the harness on it's own?

Thank you!
James

Daikin CN_WIRED (A6) - FXTB12AXVJU Indoor PCB

Hi,

I just (very nervously) measured my pinout as I bought wired accessories but do not have an S21 port. It seems to me that the connector CN_WIRED is the port for connecting accessories. There is also a UART port to the right that may be useful - but I haven't investigated this.

If anyone gets the wired controller or another S21 accessory (like ModBus or the wireless controller) on this FTXB model or PCB, please share!

Here's the pinout for CN_WIRED (A6) - (JST 5pin connector):

daikin

| +5V (Const) | TxD (14.7 kHz?) | GND (-) | RxD | +12V (Const) |
PIN 1 PIN 2 PIN 3 PIN 4 PIN 5

Here is a standard S21 Pinout:

| +5V (Const) | TxD | RxD | +12V (Const) | GND (-) |

The connector seems to have the same pins BUT the RXD is in the ground spot and the ground in the RxD spot (I've read blogs of people blowing up their equipment simply cutting the plug off without finding the pinout)

Recommended tool for crimping contacts

Would you recommend any affordable tool that is universal enough to crimp any of the three different contacts required for this cable? Preferably anything below 50-60USD.

Wall control unit in parallel

Hello, folks!

I was wondering whether or not it is possible to connect two devices to the S21 connector.

There's a wall-mounted control panel that becomes a paperweight once I unplug the S21 for it. Unfortunately I am unable to discover the location of the intermittent board it is controlled by, therefore I can't connect it to anything else directly.

Are there any measures to combine two devices into one? And what drawbacks am I expected to run into?

Official cable references from daikin

Due to the complexity of crimping connectors this small, I'm now considering buying cables instead of building them by myself.

Any idea about the part number of the A81 series cable? Is it sold separately by daikin, or solely on a kit?
