ungoldman / contributing.md Goto Github PK

Thinking about this, I think @jden's CONTRIBUTING.md does a better job of covering contribution guidelines (short discussion at ungoldman/module-init#4), while the contributing doc in here is really geared more towards collaborators who have been added to the project. Might rename and rejigger this accordingly.

COLLABORATING.md? COLLABORATORS.md? Too much? @maxogden has a module that generates a collaborators.md file, I think mainly to give credit since github doesn't expose collaborators in its UI (https://github.com/maxogden/collaborator).

Additionally @bcomnes found https://github.com/openopensource/openopensource.github.io, which was made by the original authors of the "OPEN Open" contributing guidelines. It hasn't been touched in a long time and the domain doesn't look functional but I would prefer not to hijack the concept unless they've completely moved on. All the people involved (openopensource/openopensource.github.io#1) look rather busy with other projects right now, but I went ahead and made an issue soliciting feedback (openopensource/openopensource.github.io#6).
