acerspin5-sp513-54n-hackintosh's Introduction

I'll try to keep this repo up-to-date BUT as a student, I need to pay a lot of fees: tuition fees, exam fees, house rent, food, etc. Any donation would help me a lot! Due to COVID-19, now I have freetime. So if you want me to create your own EFI with a little payment, contact me via Telegram.

acerspin5-sp513-54n-hackintosh's Issues

Unable to boot, OC looks strange.

My device is an Acer Spin 5 SP513-52N, and given the specs listed in the Readme of this repo, it's compatible with the EFI that was released on February 23. I was able to install Big Sur, and I got everything to work (approx 5 months ago), but then I tried upgrading to Monterey. Since this repo has been updated since then, I decided to replace my EFI with the new configuration (plugging in the new serial numbers of course). OpenCore doesn't show with its usual background and picker, rather a text-based list. When trying to boot, I get a SMCProcessor error "failed to find a compatible processor". When returning to the original EFI, with an 11.6.1 recovery partition on the USB, it began to give the same error. I have wiped NVRAM multiple times in between EFI swaps. Was the updated EFI made for a different processor (like the i7-10th gen in the 54N)? Is this a user error?
