Destroyer - Whirlwind

Just wanted to let you know the rebuild of that 100m ship was done!

Converting the old one to a 3m ceiling was not possible, so I just built a new one over the weekend. This is a full 125m, so a "long destroyer." Like the others it has a quick and dirty placeholder interior; I'm just blocking out space for rooms with half-height walls and a straight hallway ATM, a less-boring interior will follow.

You've mentioned that crew will be a big element of the game (which is awesome!); since we don't know how much space they and their facilities will need, I'm just trying to budget as much space for them as possible. It also has a ton of free space inside for more ship systems once those are more fully implemented, so it should be future-proofed to later updates.

Until this bug is fixed, I've had to disconnect the turrets; taking control of the ship with them connected to the yoke drops FPS to 1 or less (ideally, once missiles are implemented most of the big turrets will be replaced with missile launchers anyway). Once that bug is fixed it'll be at 100%, but if you want to take a look at it now, here it is!

I created a destroyed version of the exterior of my 525m Battle-cruiser

I made it for Cinematic, screenshots, and videos as it is always cool to see something so large destroyed and peaks interest

Currently I have:
-destroyed front half
-destroyed rear half
-6-8 smaller debris saves to be set up in any desired way.

there is very little brick work.

I would be more than happy to send you the Blueprints if you wanted to check it out and see if there is a place for it in the upcoming trailer or screenshots you have planned.

75m light carrier (I know you don't need those right now, but it still looks good and shows how the ship design can be scaled up.)
There is also a plan for a 100m+ cruiser, but I have not started that

The 25m and the 55m hull is complete minus detailing. Interior is empty, but ready for construction. The 75m is mostly complete, but still needs a bit of love on the back side.

Common design is a slim flatships, dagger like fronts and a more bulbous back.

Colors black and gold. Here is some variations of a logo I messed around with.

I also have a number of fighters/microfighters (fighters heavily minimized in size) that are set to the theme, but Ill leave those out for now

Corvette - Corsair

A 52-meter corvette I am working on. It follows a specific style of which I've set out for my faction idea. I've got a really crude mockup on paper of all the basic shapes to follow. The first vehicle I have actually made in-game is the Corsair, which is a heavy-duty strike corvette, which will feature 4 Close defence guns mounted in the rear and two main guns near the front fins.

The empty space in the middle, as with all other ships with split designs, can be used for either cargo or other transport requirements, or as a foundation to attach more weaponry if needed.

The whole style of this faction revolves around two concepts; speed and shields. ships bigger than a fighter, but smaller than frigates will have either some sort of split down the middle (either from the front, which the cockpit would be rearwards or vice versa.) Prominent features from this faction are engine nacelles, and wings or spoilers or some kind of aerodynamic bit that sets them apart from other vehicles.

Below is the first iteration of the Corsair, please keep in mind that it is very rough, and is missing all of the finer details I have planned for it, including the interior. A schematic will be provided once I've added more in general.

Added Turrets and Details, turrets placement isn't very balanced, planing for two large single plane turrets on the bottom and one large one at the back.

Frigatte - Vitality

Improved design from my older one. Should have a crew friendly second floor, will include two large turrets and a few smaller ones. 100m Ship.

A combination between a Frigatte and a Destroyer yet not really either, this is a light patrol craft often used for armed protection and high speed attacks. Cheap and well compacted when landed, this light ship is able to provide decent protection to civilian space from small pirate ships.

Will add in blueprint later, It won't let me add it here.

Bomber - Manta

Now, I know you told us to start with the 50m ships and move up, but I literally had this thing just lying around, so I figured might as well finish it and then get on with refitting that destroyer. Plus it's 25 meters wide, so nearly at the lower end of Corvette-size anyway.

This is supposed to have big missile launchers instead of the big guns, so when those are in they'll be put on it.

-meant to serve as a self propelled gun. (quick moving artillery)
-8 defense turrets (4 top 4 bottom)

Corvette - Lynx

Not sure you need more ships, but I started making another set on the basis that it's better to have too many rather than too few. This is a different style than the other fleet; these aren't meant to be streamlined and sleek, but instead be more heavy and durable looking. Once we get the planned weight rebalance you mentioned, I plan to redo the internals to make its performance match its looks.

Has landing gear, boarding elevator, etc. Also took your guidance and made the turret logic local; much less painful that way! 😝 Let me know if you want me to make more ships in this style.

It is 65m long (I know, a little longer than what you asked for). I have done my best to balance the ship systems, and have used only full blocks on the interior to keep it very simple. The turrets are not connected to a turret core at this time, due to the the following bug: tsunamayo/Starship-EVO#1577

This version has had the interior removed and resized for 3m high ceilings as requested. It's all function; no fancy interior, and all the brick detailing on the exterior has been removed (apart from 2 stickers to make the paint look less derpy). Obviously, a release-ready version would look nicer, but this is purely for testing performance & balance.

Civilian - Airships and other misc builds

I was introduced to this github by Dwarf-Lord and thought I might toss my ships up here, worst that happens is you say no right?
Here I have 2 airships, neither ship has landing gear or an "airtight" cockpit. I was hesitant to post these as I thought the lack of landing gear and the style might not be what you want but like I said the worst that happens is you say no lol

Civilian Crusier - Phantom SS

Here ya go. I'd include more pics but there is a lot going on inside and to showcase it all would be lengthy.

The idea behind the ship is that its an older civilian cruiser (reason for basic hull shape and a million retrofit pipes inside). Think a smaller millennium falcon or a small crew Serenity.

It has a descent shield, modest weapons (no turrets), an "air lock" for module docking (not sure if I embedded the docking ring too deep though, I might have to bring it out some to clear...not sure). A cargo ramp/elevator/ground entry.

5URG3's Faction Builds

You mentioned on the Copy and Paste issue that you liked my ships and that you require a faction for the game, so I've made this post to discuss this further.

BACKGROUND

I've been building spaceships and other creations in Space Engineers since 2015 and in SEVO since the game was released on Steam.

The vast majority of these have been for themed fleets. Hyperion Systems ships are military vessels and Standard Interplanetary Mining covers civilian craft.

STARSHIP EVO FACTION

I would like to help build faction ships for Starship EVO.

In SEVO I currently have two completed ships and a third under construction.

The ships are not totally compliant with the Pathfinder Group Build requirements, but both finished ships use blast doors and block bulkheads to divide rooms and a child entity loading ramp for access. The lower deck in the frigate is 3m tall, but the upper deck and the interior of the FAC is only 2m.

I am fan of keeping things relatively simple, there are only a few child entities on my ships. They tend to be as fast and well armed as I can make them.

This ship is ~40m long and ~120t. It is designed for a single crewmember. The small size and brick use means that there is significant light showing on the exterior while in darkness.

This ship is ~90m long and ~1Kt. It is designed for up to 8 crewmembers. There is much less of an issue with light on this one. This one has a teleporter core.
