I was wondering whether it's possible to show the buttons in the file view (above the opened file)? So if a file with changes is open, I can click e.g. the "add" button to perform a git add .

That is even more useful, because we spend most of our time in the file view, and only some of the time in the source control view.

As mentioned in the title, it would be nice to have an option for git sync (i.e. pull then push), which is available in the overflow menu in the source control manager, and also is displayed by default in the status bar. It would be more convenient to access with one of your nifty buttons in the source control manager, while I'm there adding, writing a commit message, and committing. Of course, I could use pull and push buttons, but that would be two clicks instead of one.

VSCode removed the view mode toggle button from the source control panel in version 1.47. Add this back as part of this extension.

Requires ability to change view modes from extension api. See microsoft/vscode#102138

if multiple workspaces are open at the same time, git pull does not automatically update the current directory.
