Add support for paths that access properties through indexer, e.g.
(d: IData, prop: string) => d.foo[prop].bar
.
Currently only paths with array indexes, e.g.
(s: IData, i: number) => d.foo[i].bar
, are supported.
When import like so:
import { pathFromExpression, lensFromPath } from 'lenticular.ts';
Typescript compiler (2.0.8) complains with:
"An import path cannot end with a '.ts' extension"
Currently it is possible to define a path using an arrow function with no arguments. Such patch is invalid as it cannot access passed object.
E.g. foo.bar[i][j].baz
.
E.g.
const lens = lensFromPath(pathFromExpression((item: IItem) => item.name))
const name = lens.get("")ใ// compile error: 'string' is not assignable to type 'IItem'.
const data: IData = lens.set(item, "") // compile error: 'IItem' is not assignable to type 'IData'
I found an issue when I want to modify values on a structure using associative array.
Modify callback is executed correctly, but an attempt to modify data crashes. I got error 'Expected value to be an Array ... '
Workaround is to use string indexes instead of numbers.
An example of object structure and usage:
interface IExample {
firstLevel: firstLevel;
}
interface IFirstLevelObject {
secondLevel: secondLevel;
}
interface ISecondLevelObject {
someValue: string;
}
type firstLevel = {[firstIndex: number]: IFirstLevelObject };
type secondLevel = {[secondIndex: number]: ISecondLevelObject };
function createExample() : IExample {
const exampleValue = <IExample> {
firstLevel: {
[1]: <IFirstLevelObject>{
secondLevel: {
[1]: <ISecondLevelObject>{
someValue: 'origValue';
}
}
}
}
}
return exampleValue;
}
const examplePath = path((IExample, firstIndex, secondIndex) => example.firstLevel[firstIndex].secondLevel[secondIndex]);
function doExample() : void {
const example = createExample();
const exampleLens = lens(examplePath, [1, 1]);
data.pageIndex.toString()]);
return exampleLens .modify(example, secondLevel => {
secondLevel.Value = 'modified value';
});
}
E.g. (items: IItem[]) => items[1])
.
