lenticular.ts's Issues

Cannot import the library

When import like so:

import { pathFromExpression, lensFromPath } from 'lenticular.ts';

Typescript compiler (2.0.8) complains with:
"An import path cannot end with a '.ts' extension"

Type safety for object

E.g.

const lens = lensFromPath(pathFromExpression((item: IItem) => item.name))
const name = lens.get("")ใ€€// compile error: 'string' is not assignable to type 'IItem'.
const data: IData = lens.set(item, "") // compile error: 'IItem' is not assignable to type 'IData'

Can not modify data in an associative array

I found an issue when I want to modify values on a structure using associative array.

Modify callback is executed correctly, but an attempt to modify data crashes. I got error 'Expected value to be an Array ... '

Workaround is to use string indexes instead of numbers.

An example of object structure and usage:

interface IExample {
   firstLevel: firstLevel;
}

interface IFirstLevelObject {
   secondLevel: secondLevel;
}

interface ISecondLevelObject {
   someValue: string;
}

type firstLevel = {[firstIndex: number]: IFirstLevelObject };
type secondLevel = {[secondIndex: number]: ISecondLevelObject };

function createExample() : IExample {
   const exampleValue = <IExample> {
       firstLevel: {
           [1]: <IFirstLevelObject>{
                secondLevel: {
                    [1]: <ISecondLevelObject>{
                        someValue: 'origValue';
                    }
                }
           }
      }
   }
   return exampleValue;
}

const examplePath = path((IExample, firstIndex, secondIndex) => example.firstLevel[firstIndex].secondLevel[secondIndex]);

function doExample() : void {
    const example = createExample();

   const exampleLens = lens(examplePath, [1, 1]);

   data.pageIndex.toString()]);
       return exampleLens .modify(example, secondLevel => {
           secondLevel.Value = 'modified value';
    });
}
