exactly what it says, I run the patch and get this error

Pak files fail to download and continuing the installer set up alerts me with back to back pop ups that those 8 paks appear corrupt..
I've tried both installers listed on the site. Both reach this point. Retrying to run the installers again gets me these same messages.

I have installed the WA2_patch.exe patch (previously installed the game), and then ran WA2_en.exe and the window opens with a black screen and then after a few seconds closes.
run patch WA2_patch.exe then run WA2_en.exe.

Hi There,
I've installed the windows 10 compatible version of the game in Japanese and downloaded the patch. When I open the patch and go through the wizard, I get to the download and get the below Error.
Everything is there that I am aware of and I'm not sure what to do.

I downloaded the files from the google drive, when trying to open the application my screen goes black and then closes. I bought the game from dmm.
Edit: I downloaded the installer and installed the patch in the wa2.exe directory.

You should be able to point the WA2 directory even if you don't have it installed.
Can't run the patch when you don't have WA2 installed (even when you have it from an existing copy from another machine) seems weird. When you can execute the game fine:

the installer can download the videos perfectly, but always fails to connect and download the en.pak. tried different versions to no avail
