Well, this will be fun.

I'm struggling to understand how a ticket counter differs from a token. You say ticket counters block other companies, but if there is an open slot they don't. Isn't that how a token works? So ticket counters are just special tokens?

Yes, they are almost exactly like regular tokens except:

  • They are cheaper ($25)
  • They may be placed in the same hex as a regular token of the same company
  • They serve to block routes if you need to pass through more than one ticket counter on a route (bypassing a TC by running through your own token or an empty slot does not count against the limit)

Let me know if you think I should reword the rule somehow.

Sorry, I'm feeling slow here. So if a ticket counter is a separate thing from a token, what exactly is the effect of adding a ticket counter to a hex that has an open slot (or the effect to company X if you add it to hex that has a token of company X)?

There is no effect to adding a ticket counter to a hex that has an open slot, unless now that open slot is occupied by a TC.

The effect to company X if you add it to hex that has a token of company X is also no effect, but it may block you from a route due to the single TC limit.

So the only effect is to your own route?

It also blocks other companies' routes like normal tokens, let's discuss more on Slack.

TC/cube graphics for use in city slots, including those for pink/purple/navy (will probably be used in the future, so it will be nice to have them all in the same format). Also, since I was at it, there is also a version that has no circle (for use in other places that are not city slots). Hopefully we remember this in the future if needed.
