Chef cookbook that installs and configures the ICAClient
Tested with Chef Client 12.3.0, Ubuntu 14.04 and ICAClient 13.1
This cookbook can be run on virtual machine as well.
The default recipe installs the ICAClient, and configures it with Firefox
The cleanup recipe removes the deb file from the client, and empties the apt cache
- Download the current ICAClient installer deb
- Put the deb file in the
files/
directory - Set the
default['icaclient']['deb_file']
variable in theattributes/default.rb
file, eg:
# attributes/default.rb
(...)
default['icaclient']['deb_file'] = 'icaclient_13.1.0.285639_amd64.deb'
(...)
- Add the recipe to your run list
{
"run_list": [
"recipe[icaclient]",
"recipe[icaclient::cleanup]"
]
}
- Wait for a Chef client run
- Fork it
- Create your feature branch (git checkout -b my-new-feature)
- Commit your changes (git commit -am 'Added some feature')
- Push to the branch (git push origin my-new-feature)
- Create new Pull Request
