coced's Introduction

CoCEd

A save editor for the game Corruption of Champions.

CoCEd allows you to edit your character's stats, appearance/body, perks, items, etc.

Requirements

Requires, at least, Windows XP (which means it also works with: Vista, 7, 8, and 10) and the .NET Framework 4 (full or client profile).

Not currently compatible with Mac OS X and Linux (even if using Wine or Mono).

Installation

Windows XP Note: Users of Windows XP must install, at least, the Microsoft .NET Framework 4 Client Profile, if you have not already done so.

Download the latest CoCEd-*.zip archive from the releases tab (above) and extract the files wherever you want. No installation required. Note that browsing the archive via Windows Explorer is not sufficient, the files must be extracted from the archive or you will receive errors.

Have A Question? Found A Bug? Want To Contribute?

Please see CoCEd's official forum thread at fenoxo.com for all questions, suggestions, and bug reports.

Additionally, as a better way to report bugs, you may create/update issues in CoCEd's issue tracker.

coced's Issues

Missing weapon: Dragon Shell Shield

I noticed that I can't find the weapon "Dragon Shell Shield" anywhere.
I'm not familiar enough with CoCEd's code to insert it myself.
The item code for the dragon shell shield is: DRGNSHL

Application quits when attempting to open save file

Cross-Platform UI

WPF is closed-source and mono has no plans to implement it, since WPF uses DirectX for rendering. Making a cross-platform UI with Qt, GTK#, Electron (perhaps via Coldstone), etc should be a long-term goal of this project.

CoCED uses the wrong flag to count explorations in the COC revamp mod

I originally thought the problem was with the mod, but after I filed an issue report someone dug around and found the heart of the problem. Link to the mods issue report Kitteh6660/Corruption-of-Champions-Mod#604

My understanding is the editor and mod are using different variables to determine exploration counters, but its mostly over my head as I have only very basic programing skills and haven't even seen the source code. In any case I was asked to file an issue here so refer to the link above.

I tried rebooting, redownloading, and even use GiveMePower (It started, but immediately closed.)
It keeps crashing, and I don't know what's causing it. I have no COCEd folder in Appdata\Local.

Error that causing CoCEd to chrash

Here is the error code I'm getting:

Piercings within arrays are not working

Piercings within arrays (i.e. those in CockVM and VaginaVM) seem to forget their UpperName and LowerName values when switching from one PiercingVM to another.

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Add multiple cocks to a character.
  2. Edit the piercing of the first—any type will do. Select a piercing material which is not the first in the list (e.g. Ruby).
  3. (optional) Save and then reload the the character. The piercing should still look okay at this point.
  4. Switch to one of the other cocks, then switch back to the first.
  5. The type of piercing should still be correct. The piercing upper and lower names, however, should now reflect the first item in the materials list (i.e. Amethyst) rather than what had been selected (e.g. Ruby).

Piercings not on the General page are not working

Piercings which are located on pages other than the general page (GeneralPage.xaml) are not working. Specifically, the MyComboBox is not picking up the binding.

It seems to be related to the bindings issues that cropped up with MyComboBox.cs when we switched to the dual mode XML (commit 27fe02c).

Save Editor for Android files.

I saved my current game into a file, then located it under the android data and it loads in strangely into the editor giving me a crash error. I can find it under backups and it gives me a message that the the file is loading like a slot when it's a file? Either way, when I try to save it back to the same format it doesn't allow me to load from the file at all inside the app and it doesn't seem to see it as a soc file. I can't seem to locate the data inside the phone for the soc files either. I'd appreciate some guidance on this.

Here's the error message:

Ive been using this for awhile, and have had no problems.
But for whatever reason, my computer is saying that this contains a trojan virus. its never said that before, ive used this once or twice in the past and this is just strange to me that its randomly saying that it has a trojan virus.

Suddenly started Getting this error about two weeks ago

CoCEd Error
So the editor was working just fine for me, but about two weeks ago I started getting this error. I deleted and reinstalled both the editor and the game, but alas, nothing. Does anyone have any ideas? Thank you in advance

Unable to use editor/ unclear.

How do i open the editor, what program should I use.
Tried many thinns and nothing works, only shows a string of lines with no link to the savefile or game.

I have no idea how this works

So I have tried to save to file from CoC and then find it with the Open option in the editor. This doesn't work because for some odd reason the saves don't show up in the folders where I put them. I don't know entirely what I'm doing wrong. I have the CoC swf saved and I open it in my browser, save to file and go to the place I saved it to find that it isn't there.

Here are the files in question.

CoCEd.zip

Andy and COC

I use Andy to play CoC on my windows computer, but i am having troubles importing the save file

How exactly do I use this?

Has something with this recent version changed in that it no longer uses a .exe to work now?

I've 'downloaded' - at least I think I did correctly - the newest version from the green box, and saved it as a .zip file.
The .zip file being named CoCEd-master.zip, which I extracted, expecting to see a .exe. To my surprise there was not one.
Am I a stupid idiot and downloaded it incorrectly and/or just haven't found the .exe yet, or is this entirely different an requires a different method of editing?

Win 10 - It doesn't open

When I try to open the CocEd it does nothing. Doesn't even show an error message it's like I didn't even tried to open it. What could possibly be the problem? D:

Fixed the Xianxia thing, only for this to happen

So i managed to find a Xianxia file to download, but now I get this error:

Unable to open on Windows 10

Start the program, see it as a background process in Task Manager, but it soon disappears.

Any idea how to fix this?

If you need more info, what do you need?

PS, any intentions of updating CoCEd when the mod's updates are cooling down a bit?

New file type?

Is there a possibility that there could be a swf file version for the editor? I use a chromebook pc now and am unable to use exe, tar, and many other types, other than swf.

Editor Crash

It was working just fine last night. I wonder what caused it to suddenly die.

wine/mono?

Not currently compatible with Mac OS X and Linux (even if using Wine or Mono).

why would you do this? can't be that hard to make it compatible, unless you are for some reason (ab-)using another "cutting edge microsoft technology" (aka. unstable bloatware)…

Items not updating

When repeatedly loading in a save, the items displayed in the inventory section stay and overwrite the items previously in the save

mouse stops working

freezes my mouse cursor upon opening it until i alt + F4 then ctrl + alt + del and then open task manager. then it works again.

New updates

Any chancew on getting updates for the revived revamp mod updates?

Issues opening saves

Editor isn't auto-detecting my saves to open up normally, and trying to 'save to file' then import gives me this error:
