Certain weapons have shinyness issues/too much bling
I believe modification of the .smd map will fix this

If you look at how the texture looks in the sun, it looks horrible, must be some kind of special map that's artifacted.
Impossible to pack properly
When packing is attempted with binarization using addon builder, the pbo is not built correctly - it is simply a file with a single config, and is in no way usable.
When packing is attempted without binarization, addon builder throws error code 1.
Perhaps using pboproject from mikero would fix this?
PP-2000 rate of fire too slow?
Wikipedia lists it as 600/800rpm, but it feels slower than that?
Needs investigation
Mosin nagant, no bolting sound
Must've changed from the AWM update to Toadie's pack.
AK-74M has wrong reload sounds
Reload sounds should be set to the AK reload by Toadie, possibly will extend to AK-101.
PKM/PKP magazine material error
Magazine and belt seems to be behaving oddly with light.
Mosin nagant broken firing sounds
Can't hear the firing sound, only the sound shading.
OTs-02 has bad full auto sounds
Multiple bullet drops mesh badly along with a subtle tertiary sound.
Remove Model.cfg
These files are not needed as they're packed with the .p3d once they're binarized.
Mosin scope, bad specular
Particularly the lens.
Some weapons have terrible sounds (own opinion)

Incomplete checklist for weapons
Instead of having eight tickets.
Remove text from weapon icons
-Additionally run some anti-aliasing.
Remove redundant base classes
-Lots of base classes are defined, it makes the files kind of messy, just run count on them and if they're only referenced once, delete them.
Fix pixellation in textures
-Some textures are very pixellated, particularly SMDI textures. A remove noise filter can sometimes fix this. Be very critical that important details don't suffer too heavily from this.
Fix cfgPatches
-All configs, if not empty, should have requiredAddons (Often, not always, "A3_Weapons_F" is sufficient.) and the classnames should be in the weapons[] array. The mosin nagants are an exception in that they also require the marksman dlc. So always be sure that what is inherited is in requiredAddons.
Remove Model.cfg
-These files are not needed as they're packed with the .p3d once they're binarized.
And always check your file ingame, several times if there's another change.

Scope broken as of 1.68
Most weapons now have scope=1, due to changing of base classes?
SVT-40/AVT wood looks horrible and needs color correction.
Probably less saturation, with a bit less contrast.

Changes are 0.65 saturation, +1 brightness, -5 contrast.
PPSH-41 texture issues
Wood texture looks too saturated.
Metal texture looks too dark.
Remove excessive base classes
Lots of base classes are defined, it makes the files kind of messy, just run count on them and if they're only referenced once, delete them.
Optics
1P29 - Looks okay, scope view is a bit weird with they grey reticle.
1P63 - Normal map is grainy and the sight is very contrasting.
1P69 - Looks fine.
1P69n - Looks fine.
1P78 - Normal map is very messed up, 3d view which is okay.
Vanilla optics - Are these custom models? Also shadow is messed up on some.
COD2 - Model is very shiny and textureless, not a fan of the 3d view.
Dedal 470 - Nightvision scope. Look fine.
Dedal DH/DS - Looks fine, seems there's a lot of long range scopes.
EKP-8-18 - Looks fine, reticle is a bit faint and there's some purple edges, but fine otherwise.
Elcan specter - Textures are horrible.
Kashtan PM - Looks fine, 3d view is a bit odd.
Nit - 3d view takes up whole screen. Feels like you're inside the scope.
Pilad - About the same as EKP, pretty good.
PK-01 - Looks good.
PK-01VI - Texture is bad.
PK-021 - Magnified optics which are so annoying to use, zoomed view has a bad overlay.
PK-A - Normal map looks like fried chicken, glass is blue and the sight is a dot, not using collimator.
PK-As - Looks like PK-01, still good though.
PKM-A-01 - Looks like aimpoint, sight is not collimator, glass is reflective. Otherwise fine.
PKS-07 - Another long range sight, has a few texture problems.
PKS-07n - Above just large with a higher magnification.
PO Barsik - Small sight, pretty nice although could use a less agressive texture.
POS 13x50 - Long range sight, textures are a POS.
POS 13x50n - Above just higher magnification.
PSO-1 - Nice textures, 3d scope which is a bit jarring, glass is yellow.
PSU - Two step medium range sight, should probably just be one. Critical material errors. Otherwise fine maybe?
PU - Nagant sight, 3d view, material error.
PUO-1 - High tech sight, model is okay, has Russian text. Normal/NV/TH.
Rakurs pm - Magnified sight, see PK-021.
Ultra sight PK-05W - Looks good, reticle is a bit hard to see on altis, because it's red I guess. Goes for most sights, would probably be okay on another map.
Valdai PG-210 - Looks okay, reticle is off the MK17. Could do with some better textures, normal map looks a bit noisy.
Didn't cover vanilla sights, these are all the DVTL sights only.

AK-74M GL and others should have front loading animation
Seems to be just the AK-74M.
ADS already has, can find definition there without having to trudge through the config viewer.
So does AK-101.
AK-101-2 in it's brokenness has too.
AN-94 has three round burst
Should be set to two rounds.

DP-27 normal map issues
It seems to be reflecting light differently as it spins around, must be offset in either X or Y?
KS-23 reflections
Seems to be reflecting the environment? Must be an .rvmat issue, possibly remove environment map and/or fractal.
Missing HitArmor Entry
Noticed this for a couple of shotguns, specifically the TOZ in this case.
Happens the second you shoot.
Making descriptions more descriptive and grammatically correct
Ammo/weapon descriptions should be rewritten to be both more informative and more grammatically correct, preferably using existing vanilla/ACE conventions.
Attachments bad speculars.
Quite a few.

It should have the AK reload along with the correct reload sounds.
