Hi, this is Tianrui (Eric) Qi, a junior undergraduate at Georgia Institute of Technology (GT) majoring in Computer Science (CS). Before joining GT, I studied CS and Mathematics at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI). My primary interest lies at the crossroads of machine learning (ML) and computational imaging. During my time at RPI, I built a strong foundation in statistics and ML under the guidance of Dr. Ge Wang. Now, in Dr. Shu Jia’s lab at GT, I’m broadening my expertise in imaging technology, such as fluorescence, light-field, and single-molecule localization microscopy. With a solid base in both the theoretical and practical aspects of my domain, I am continuing my studies in physics as a minor at GT and intern at Regeneron from January to August 2024, further expanding my knowledge tree. I plan to pursue a Biomedical Engineering (BME) Ph.D. after my undergraduate studies.
