I'm working on a spacemacs layer for gerbil and was looking at integrating treadmill into it. Is this under active development or should I treat it as deprecated?

In order to establish module name root and infer hierarchy based on directory and file names.

Perhaps uses a more general metering facility. Steal my report idea from nrepl-profile.

Ok, here's what I've done:

1. Install treadmill, gerbil backend and company
2. M-x treadmill-spawn
3. (def (f x) (1+ x)) ;; in REPL

Expected: successful function definition
Real: error in process filter: Symbol's function definition is void: caddr

Instead of stealing the elisp sexp fetcher, steal Gerbil's.

Hi, First of all, thanks for this module, I recently discovered gerbil and I'm super excited with it getting more tools.

I have some experience with slime, sly, and geiser (also cider but to a lesser degree), and I'm curious if you thought of starting off from some of those projects.

As you know, they all have tons of features and hours put into them. What's the motivation for starting from scratch? Fun? Learning? Are they hard to port?

1. Run Treadmill REPL
2. Type '(import :std/'
3. Get an error "error in process filter: Stack overflow in regexp matcher"

In order to alleviate need to set gxi location twice, namely: not in both dot-file and dot-emacs but in only dot-file.
