How many RAM do you have, there are two students faced the same issue one with 6gb and one with 8gb , I thought the problem could be the memory usage.

OSCAR CAI hi, I actually faced the same issue and then had a Chat with RAY GUO . After some screen sharing and observation, we came to a conclusion is just my device is slow and does not have enough RAM to compile the changes fast enough. It will compile eventually but it will take 7/8 min or even it took 15 min in my case. Close and run you Docker containers again and if you are able to see the changes then it might be just memory issue.

ISHRAT JAHAN have you tried on your another laptop cos I'm not 100% sure that's the issue.

ISHRAT JAHAN Thank you, but I actually wait for 15-20 minutes and it show nothing, so I afraid that I need other way to run

Oscar instead of running web docker container, he run the web server locally and everything's good. I think you can try to do the same thing, the only thing your need is install nodejs version >= 16

RAY GUO I was just trying to set the whole project in my gaming laptop, but do you think I am also running the Web server locally just like Oscar? How to find it out? And if that's the case, what can I do about it, other than installing node js version >= 16

I think you can continue on set the project on your gaming laptop, if still have issues with live updating let me know.ISHRAT JAHAN

I am running the project in my better laptop which has 16 gb ram. As suggested before, I tried closing web container and ran it locally using npm. But it does not seem to be any better. Each time I change anything I basically need to run my docker again to see my changes in the webpage. This is my npm logs.

ISHRAT JAHAN are you using a windows machine? I think this file may be able to help you: Docker Auto Reload Instructions.docx
[9/4 10:52 pm] ISHRAT JAHAN
Yes LIZ, I am using windows.

The file above should hopefully solve the problem you are facing smile

Unfortunately Liz, I have already gone through these steps. Let me fil you in, I went through all the set up process and my application successfully ran locally. But when I started to actually change the codes, I was having this issue where if I make any changes to my code, it does not show up in the my local OnTrack. Later I discovered that It is a compilation problem, when I change my code it takes 20/30 minutes to compile, so I do not see any changes happening. I thought It is because I have 8gb ram. So I spent whole day setting up my project in my other, better laptop. Even after that the problem persists. So RAY GUO suggested that I try to run the web server locally, therefore, I tried closing web container in docker and ran it locally using npm. But it does not seem to get any better. Now I am sort of lost haha

Thank You LIZ, I was using Vs 1.66.1, yes my compilation is very slow, not sure what is causing this, I'll try these troubleshooting methods and see how it goes.
