Getting Started with SQL

Thank you for reading Getting Started with SQL. These are the database files for the book.

Having Download Trouble?

This book requires basic proficiency in downloading, unzipping, and navigating files and folders.

If you need assistance in extracting a zipped folder, please see this short tutorial.

For SQLiteStudio, easy-to-use installers are now available so you should not have to unzip/copy/paste SQLiteStudio: https://sqlitestudio.pl/index.rvt?act=download

Duplicate Slide

The Slide for Exercise 4.1 is repeated twice in the file sqlfundamentalslides.pdf. (pg 37 & 38)

Syntax doesn't work as expected

On page 51 the author introduces an example of COALESCE() function. But it doesn't work. I mean, there are still NULL fields.
Here is the statement:

SELECT * FROM station_data
WHERE coalesce(precipitation, 0) <= 0.5;
coalesce
