chiaki's Issues

Support for Non-Xperia Android Devices

Would it be possible to port this project to non Sony Xperia Android devices?

I know some outdated and unsupported APKs exist plus there are paid for apps but having an open source code base that I can be sure there is no funny business going on would be amazing.

Chiaki error on ubuntu 18.04

Hi I've just discovered chiaki and it looks pretty straight forward, the only problem is that when ever I try to connect to my ps4 I get this CE-35397-7 error, any solutions for this?
PS: I'm on PS4 7.00 update and using ubuntu 18.04 LTS

App crashes after connecting to Ps4 Pro. (Black Screen)

Win 10 Pro Ver 1903
Chiaki 1.0.2
PS4 Pro FW 6.72

Hi, I have a problem when I try to connect to the console. At the start it immediately detects my ps4 and after entering all the data correctly and trying to connect, a black screen appears and then closes automatically. Both the ps4 and my pc are on the same wifi network so it isn't network problem. Seeing inside the log I notice that there is an error like "InvalidSessionId".
I tried every way to change settings and double-check the data but the problem does'nt
change.

This happens when I try to connect.

Error

Incorrect Controller Mapping

Tested on both Linux and Windows 10
Xbox 360 Controller with a wireless adapter and Dualshock over USB on Windows and Bluetooth on Ubuntu 18 have square and triangle swapped. Changing mappings in PS4 accessibility also does not seem to make a difference. This is a simple fix and is preventing me from using this application.

Wake up on connect

When trying to connect to a console in standby the attempt fails. It'd be nice to fire always a wake up call to the console prior to the connection attempt.

HW decoding ?

Chiaki is an awesome projet, thank you for your work 👏

Do you plan to enable HW decoding acceleration using apis like vaapi ? I think this should greatly reduce latency.

More complete build instructions?

Can you provide a bit more detail in the build instructions? New to the idea of building from source.

Running the app image in kubuntu 19.04 but cannot get the build option to work. The app image won't connect since I'm on 7.0 and was on the 7.0 beta for a while. It gives me a 403 error.

Looking forward to checking this out. I very cool project.

Invalid Session Id received with PS4 Pro

Renderer window opens up and eventually shows an error popup with "Chiaki session has quit: Unknown Ctrl Error".

Using 1.0.0 Windows build as released here in Github.
Trying to remote play with a PS4 Pro PS4-095 in LAN. Changing resolution or frame rate did nothing.

Verbose log only contains additional Session Response Header content, which was successful.

Android 7.0 support

Hello! I have a device with Android 7.0 Nougat. As I can see, there are some Android commits in the repo, so I decided to try to build it.
But while building, an error has occurred:

The application's minSdkVersion is newer than the device API level.

My next step was to decrease minSdkVersion in android/app/build.gradle from 26 to 24, the build was completed successfully, but the app on the phone was not launching (white screen for a second, then quit).
Also, I know that the Android port is now in development and builds are raw, so I want to ask you. Will Android 7.0 (SDK v.24) be supported by the app?

Black Screen on PS4 Pro, Manjaro

I'm connected to my PS4 Pro, but I'm not getting any video feed; I get audio and can send input, but I get no video (black screen).

It might be because I'm running on an integrated graphics card on a crappy laptop which doesn't even support OpenGL 3.3, so there's that.

Here's the log in case it's useful:

If you need any further information that could help solve this problem, don't hesitate to ask.

Controller not connecting

Hi there,

Now this most likely has nothing to do with the app itself but I can't seem to be able to get any input from the controller to the Remote Play app.

Playing on Linux Pop_OS

pin?

When I register my ps4 to Chiaki, it asks for a pin. Where do I find this pin?

Add PIN entry if not logged in

Thank you for this cool project! I gave it a try and hit a problem:

I've paired with my PS4 Slim (latest firmware as of now) without any problems and immediately afterwards remote play worked fine. I then turned off my PS4 using Chiaki, turned off the TV and closed Chiaki.

Now, waking it up over network works (I can hear the PS4 beep), and after a few seconds PS4 reappears in the list with State: ready, but it can't connect:

Running on Windows 10 x64 1903.

I've removed the lines containing the RP-Nonce as I wasn't sure if it was secret information, but it was a valid Base64 string.

Performance Degradation from 1.0.2 to 1.0.3 on Linux

Tested the AppImages on Linux Mint 19.2 with a 6600K, GTX 1070 (with the 430 proprietary driver), and kernel 5.0.0. Used a wired DS4. In 1.0.3, there is a slight stutter upon every button press, but at least a second long freeze when the triggers are pressed. Also, the framerate seems to be lower overall. In 1.0.2, streaming is buttery smooth (but sadly lacking fullscreen and controller mapping fixes).

Motion controls

Would it be possible to enable DS4's motion controls use through Chiaki?

I tested on both macOS and Windows with DS4Windows and none seem to work.

PSN Account ID Script Causes Crash

I am currently running Windows 10 build 1903 with Python 3.0.
Whenever I try running the script to get my Account ID it causes an instant crash to my command prompt.
I have attempted to run the script in Python as well, the same result occurs.

How can I get the PSN Account-ID required for pairing?

Good morning.
I recently discovered Chiaki and "followed" the issue with firmware version 7. I then installed version 1.0.4 and tried to connect to the console.
The problem is that I can't figure out how to recover the ID account required by the software even though I tried to run the script shared in Issue #51 using Frida.re with the command frida "C:\Program Files(x86)\Sony\PS4 Remote Play\RemotePlay.exe" --load "C:\Users\Riccardo Sacchetto\Downloads\main.ts" (which, among other things, reported a Parse Error on line 6).
I would therefore like to ask, if an alternative method is not available, how to use Frida to retrieve the value from the Windows client.

error: unknown type name 'fd_set'

Hi,
i am trying to build chiaki (latest commit in master as of now 4e85d37) in a docker container. But it fails with the error error: unknown type name 'fd_set'.
Do you have any hint how i can resolve this build error?

To reproduce the error i have uploaded my current state of the Dockerfile in https://github.com/Strubbl/chiaki/blob/dockerfile/Dockerfile

This is the excerpt containing the error message:

Any chance of a new release

Hello,

As of the date of this issue, the last release was 28 days ago, and since then the PS4 OS has been updated to v7, and Chiaki has had some other fixes pushed.

Is now a good time to create a new release? How often will they be created normally?

Unknown Session Request Error

Hello! I decided to try 1.0.4-144 via AppVoyer, and got this lovely error message when tyrying to connect to my 5.05 console playing Persona 5.

1.0.3 (Stable -- From the Github Releases page) proceeds to connect just fine. Can try to help some more if needed :)

Thanks for your time!

EDIT: Proceeded to enable Verbose Logging and tried connecting again and, well...

Edit: It also, on a semi related note, seems that you accidentally have the log directory accidentally making Chiaki\Chiaki on the Windows build(s) of Chiaki, at the very least. An example: AppData\Roaming\Chiaki\Chiaki\log\

Sony killed Chiaki with 7.00 update

I get an connect error as of the latest update

All the regular procedure works fine:
Package builds fine;
PS4 PRO is added (via wifi)

But when I launch an error popup shows and in the terminal I log:

Not sure if I missing some dependency.

D-pad and L1 + R1 issues

After testing I believe I finally figured out the D-pad issue when I'm playing CTR I noticed when holding both L1 + R1 the client does not play well with the d-pad when doing drifting in the game. Sometimes after pressing both L1 + R1 the D-pad may act like you're for example hold down left or holding down right when you're not. I have noticed this problem on Linux and windows as well. So far this method is the easiest way to trigger the glitch I have noticed. My current OS running the chiaki client is Manjaro.

How to build without third-party source

Hello,

I try to create an ebuild for Gentoo but i need to use the source tarball where the 3rd-party source (for gf-complete, jerasure and nanopb) are not available.

I can install these application/librairies on Gentoo like they'are available in the official repo.
Unfortunatly, i have error during compilation/build because files and these 3rd-party are missing.

How i can build Chiaki like i want ?

Thanks

v1.0.4 - unable to connect to PS4 Slim

I have two PS4 systems - a "slim" and a PS4 Pro. Using the AppImage on openSUSE Leap 15.1.

After the Slim has woken up, I originally got the following error:

Chiaki Session has quit:
Remote has disconnected from Stream Connection
Reason: "Nagare did not init!"

Connecting to the Pro seems to work just fine, and once I did that, I stopped getting the above message on the Slim. Both Playstations are connected via ethernet, and both use the same account (but I'm not trying to use the account on two systems at the same time).

Now I get this with the Slim:

Chiaki Session has quit:
Unknown Ctrl Error

The output from the program shows a Login message with state 0x2. I have made sure that the video resolution is set to 720 for the Slim, and also cut the FPS to 30 - no change.

Network support?

Is this able to connect over the network? Or is it just over local connections? I tried connecting and it told me "Regist search failed".
