Context

The average ret paladin gearset consists of items spread out through the tiers. That means the average ret paladin will have all tiers selected, thus alot of items are shown and can be selected between.
The average ret paladin is only hunting for a selected few items throughout these tiers, and is therefore mainly interested in running 'Sim Gear DPS' on these few items .

Issue

Everytime the RetSim application is restarted, the application forgets the selected items for simming in the various tabs. Selecting the same items over and over gets a little tedious, and I personally want to rerun the sims as preparation eveytime i go to raid on the ret to make sure I am gunning for big upgrades

Proposed solution

Save the selected items in each tab with the rest of the saved data, to maximize the awesomeness of this RetSim application

When using the compiled desktop version of the 28. November, i get a crash to desktop(CTD) shortly after choosing a gem for the yellow socket in the Settings tab.

As a workaround i tried to put the gems in the config file. I had success, the additional stats are shown in the left stat window. Unfortunately, simming gear apart from weapons does not work anymore. If i press the button all sim buttons are greyed out but nothing else happens (also no CPU usage). Personal DPS Sim with chosen gear works.

Also, after manually editing the config file, i no longer experience CTDs

Operating Systems
As our project uses WPF, it is limited to Windows only for now. However, we may consider Linux / macOS releases at a later point. If you're a Linux or macOS user who wants to help us test releases for those systems, contact us.

edited no issue, figured out what i was doing wrong

App freeze and finally crashes when changing gem on the left hand gear overview instead of first clicking the item and then changing the gem. It's reproducable.

Firstly, thank you for a great sim.

I am missing the option to save a profile in the WPF app.

It is cumbersome to set everything up again after closing the app.

A possibility would be to auto-save on selection.

I have used RetSim-1.2.1-win-x64 to compare some shoulder slot items. Specifically I was comparing T5 to T6 shoulders, and RetSim says that T5 is quite a bit better.

This shouldn't be possible since T6 has the same stats as T5, just more of them. There's no other T5 or T6 piece in there, so it can't be due to the set bonus.

Expected result: Core of Ar'kelos should be available in the trinket selection page, regardless of phase selected.

Actual result: Core of Ar'kelos isn't in the list of trinkets.

Can't find the phase 4 items such as Cloak of Fiends or Brooch of Deftness in the SIM. Not sure if there has been an update or not for this. Thanks

With improved Faerie Fire, this would leave a 0.21% chance to miss, which should be completely eliminated by the additional 1% granted by heroic presence. As you can see, there are still some misses happening.

When selecting Heroic Presence in the buff section, these misses do not occur. However, since Draenei Paladins can't NOT have this extra 1% hit, it should be active without ticking the box. I also feel like it should be displayed in the stat summary, because for Draenei it is very much a racial feature rather than a buff (it isn't displayed as a buff ingame, either).

This is the string for the setup used when I noticed this issue, although you might need several tries and check the "min" result because the chance for a miss is still very low:

Do you guys intend to release a version for Mac?

Context

When performing a sim on one itemslot, I sometimes wanna see how they integrate with my current equipped gearset (this is possible today).
Sometimes, however, I just wanna see how the individual pieces perform against each other, without having to worry if each individual item lines up perfect with my current gems in order to fulfill metagem requirements

Issue

When doing a Sim Gear DPS on many items, changing the gems back and forth to make sure that the metagem is active can be quite tedious, and sometimes even impossible.
Typically, its a question of +/- 5 str total between the gem permutations, which is about 6 dps. Not having the metagem active is around 55dps.

Proposed solution

Add an option to 'force' the metagem to be active, regardless of the current gems in the gearset.
A nice place for this option could be just above the currently equipped gearset

New sim version is amazing, love the filler usage.

Noticed that exorcism is being cast on demon enemies, e.g. Archimonde:

... but not on undead enemies like Winterchill (shown here) or Teron:

When starting the desktop application, it'll crash during loading.

Tried in a clean VM with same OS (win7) and WebView2 runtime installed. .Net runtime 4.7.2.
Initially issues with api-ms-win-core-winrt-l1-1-0.dll missing, but sorted by dumping a copy from a realtek driver into the install dir.

Source tree mentions a non-desktop version, but would need a little more info on how to get that working, in case the above isn't solvable.
