When we (in the original code from @adamkucharski) calculate infections averted, we do so with this code:

if(tested_T==T & symp_T==T  & do_tracing==T ){
        total_averted <- home_averted+work_averted+other_averted
      }else{
        total_averted <- 0
      }

I don't really understand why we need the conditional on symp_T here. It seems to imply we can't avert infections by quarantining asymptomatics. But if I remove it, then R_eff drops massively across all scenarios, so I must be misunderstanding. I fear at the moment I may be not properly accounting for quarantine of asymptomatic contacts.
