This is a fullstack Blog RAILS web application with the following features:

For the User Class:

  • FULL USER LOG IN AND AUTHENTICATION
  • WEBSITE NAVIGATION BAR CHANGES BASED ON LOGGED IN STATUS
  • ADMINISTRATOR PRIVELLEGES FOR SOME USERS
  • USER COMMENT HISTORY AND GRAVATAR PHOTO
  • USER ARTICLE HISTORY
  • USER TOPIC SUBSCRIPTION AND ARTICLE PREFERENCES

For the Article Class:

  • FULL CRUD OPERATIONS ON ARTICLE (CREATE, READ, UPDATE, DESTROY)
  • CRUD CHANGING BASED ON READER STATUS OF ARTICLES
  • USERS CAN INTERACT WITH ARTICLES BY LIKING, SHARING, AND COMMENTING

Things I have learned to implement better since writing this program

  • Proper use of form partials to clean up html.erb classes
  • Keeping the logic out of VIEWS and into the CONTROLLER classes
