simple-icon-file-maker's Issues

Reset default icon sizes

Hi,

On the Icon Sizes section, it'd be useful to have an option to reset to the default sizes. Otherwise, you need to select all of them or try to remember which are the default ones.

Thanks!

Adding a changelog

Hi,

I've just updated to version 1.4.0.0, but I can't be sure what the changes are. Would it be possible to add a Changelog section on the app?

Thanks!

Cropping tool

Hi, Joe!

I wondered if you plan on introducing a cropping tool, so we can choose the area we wish to include in the icon.

In general, it would be nice to have more settings to play with, for example in terms of quality. Does the icon currently produced by the app have the maximum possible resolution?

Thanks and keep up the good work!

Tools for creating graphics

Some sort of simple drag and drop interface along with some tools to combine shapes, colors, etc and make graphics, which can then be saved out as .png and .ico files

W11 styling

Love this app! Looking at the source code I did see some older, < WinUI 2.5 brushes being used and design guidelines not followed.

@TheJoeFin I'd love to give this a shot and play around with the UI to make it look and feel great on W11 :)! Let me know if you're open for a PR!

Make it easier/document ability to combine multiple sized files into single ico file

I didn't realize that I could drag multiple files in of varying sizes in order to add them as the individual pieces of a single ico file.

This is handy for hand-crafting certain scaling artifacts from a single image after exporting the individual images (didn't know I could drag them out either at first to save off individual sizes).

Could be handy to have another explicit button for this or another little help screen that describes some of these types of extra 'hidden' features.

Another option is to allow dragging in the images but if they're one-by-one giving the option of importing to the current ico vs. assuming it's a new icon to convert, maybe that's a toggle somewhere?

History of recent edits

  • Should these cache?
  • Loading one from history will have to regen?
  • what if people picked custom individual sizes
  • How long will history persist?

Bulk Convert Multiple Images

Hi, I really like your app and has been very useful. I was wondering would it be possible to add a bulk convert for multiple images? So instead of just doing one at time we could have an option for bulk converting a few icons at a time.

Add option for open .ico or drag

I was able to open an .ico file to edit but it doesn't appear as an accepted format, would you be able to add that? Even selecting all .ico files does not appear!

Please provide Releases and Packages in addition to MS App

An open source project should use open source packaging systems in order to be trusted. Furthermore actual package managers are far more flexible and manageable for the end-user than store apps. Your program is great but it should really be installable with a simple scoop install thejoefiniconmaker. This would greatly help long term use, reinstallation, rollback, automation, etc...

@TheJoeFin Can you please consider providing build artifacts directly here in the Releases page of your project and upload your package to the open-source Windows package manager scoop ?

Thanks in advance
