bsgui's Issues

Bounding spheres or boxes

Currently the centering algorithm uses (approximate) miniman bounding spheres, using the Ritter algorithm. It seems fast enough, but the results can sometimes be counterintuitive. Would it make sense to switch to bounding boxes?

Shader version at the top of the file

The shaders would not compile on my computer if the version definition was not placed on the first line in the file. The QT gui did start, but no 3D models was possible to present. Commandline showed the following error message

***
QOpenGLShader::compile(Fragment): 0:44(1): preprocessor error: #version must appear on the first line

*** Problematic Fragment shader source code ***

Easier selection

  • Allow selections to be done by just clicking in the tree
  • Add a "fix selection" feature that prevents selections from being destroyed easily
  • Allow unselecting patches with mouse (use ctrl, move the current ctrl functionality to shift)

Implement a metadata format

Should probably be written into geomodeler as an output option, but not GoTools.

See also: topology sets.

Smart reloading of files

Currently we store hashes of each patch, but this is ignored and the whole file is reloaded anyway when it changes.
