Another nice-to-have feature requested by @bonifarz in #2 is showing players' team's colour by changing their text colour to the team colour.

To accomplish this, a solution must be found to get the team name from query replies in the backend and then change the text colour in the frontend to this value.

@bonifarz requested displaying mode icons next to or instead of the modes in the frontend app in #2.

I am not sure what these mode icons are and where they can be found, I can't remember such icons. I'd appreciate a link to those icons, preferrably to some vector graphics such as SVG.

@bonifarz requests a change to the format mm:ss in #2.

Another idea is displaying an infinity icon ∞ instead of -1.

Btw., "a more modern competitor" sounds a bit harsh...
What about "a modern, alternative implementation" or something along these lines?

@bonifarz requested a feature we know from the original Redflare in #2: It would be nice to be able to see servers' locations/countries in the frontend.

I think this feature is not too hard to implement, and I'd also add little flags next to the two character country identifiers we're used to.

Latter may be implemented using this project, since Bower is already used anyway: https://github.com/lipis/flag-icon-css

This stuff is cool.
I think once you feel ready for a broader audience, you should definitely announce your project on the Red Eclipse forums.

Similar to #6 and #7, I am not sure what these icons are and where to find those icons. Apart from that, just like @bonifarz I am not sure whether this is really useful and should be implemented. But let's first discuss it before rejecting the feature request.

I'm not sure what that feature is exactly. @bonifarz, a little more information is required.

Similar to #6, I am not sure what these mutator icons are and where they can be found. Like there, I'd appreciate a link to those icons, preferrably to some vector graphics such as SVG.

The web interface could notify users via push messages (ideally configurable) when new games are available.

Some of these FRs are trivial, some are kind of obvious.
Here's a list for you to keep track of things you could add:

• time left in minutes - mm:ss format would also be fine; maybe use ∞ for -1
• team colours on names - not so important, but could be nice to have
• stats: yes/no - this will be important for the upcoming release
• mode icons - this would be a big step forward, but since you have privs icons, i know you can do it
• mut icons - a bit more tedious, but this could be pretty cool; gspm should override mode icons
• map icons - probably not worth it, but still an option to consider
• country - we're used to that info from redflare, but it's not that important here

Some server has user created maps, Currently redflare shows unknown map.

Maybe we can add the map previews (not the map themself) into the Red Eclipse community repo?

I see some open questions.

1. Can the map previews (created by map author) be added to the community repo? (license)
2. Can the map previews (created by some other) be added to the community repo? (license)
3. Which maps perview should be added?
