Currently the Menu Bar display shows a tilde to indicate approximate time left as it doesn't tick at a 1 second interval. I have other Menu Bar apps which do tick at a 1 second interval for timers, so I'm unsure if this decision is technical or design. Additionally the tilde takes up some extra space as does the hour indicator when I'm using timers that are less than an hour. Would it be possible to allow configuring these features?
Configure approximate or exact update interval (tilde only shows for approximate)
Configure display format to include hours or not for timers under 1 hour
Configure icon (could have other options, or just "show / don't show" toggle)
Really great work on this extension! Love all the features you've built in so far.
A tiny thing I've noticed: In the settings the alert volumne tooltip says values between 0 and 1 are allowed. But I can enter other values. I checked the raycast docs and couldn't find anything about preferences validation. Maybe there are other ways to achieve this.
The menu bar presets are okay but I don't use them very often and I prefer setting my own custom timer, it'll be nice if I'll be able to set my own custom timer directly from the menu bar and also if possible the ability to remove all other presets from the menu bar as well.
Hi, thanks for this cool app! I tried selecting "Timers Menu Bar" and I don't see anything showing up in my Menu bar. Is there something else I need to configure?
Hello! First of all a big "Thank you" for creating this handy extension. I'm using it to remind myself to get up every 30 minutes (hello sciatica).
With the most recent update, the extension stopped working properly. It doesn't show a Menu Bar item anymore, and after a timer elapses the sound continues indefinitely.
I think it would a great addition/ux improvement if the ability to start a custom timer from a user-defined keyboard shortcut was a feature. Alternatively (or in addition to), the ability for the Custom Presets made under "Manage Timers" to be pinnable to the main menu of Raycast, like how the default timers are able to be. This would be a nice QOL improvement, as it would save a step of having to enter the "Manage Timers" menu and then selecting the custom timer you'd like to begin (just being able to launch Raycast and search for it directly/have it pinned).
Side note: A keyboard shortcut that expands the menu bar list could be something worth looking into.
Also, thanks for the awesome extension, keep up the good work!
Hello
Is it possible to remove timer length and icon when timer is running, and left only countdown in datetime fromat?
Currently size of top menu widget is too large, I suppose...
UPD: And also visual end-timer pop-up banner is must have for it, I just realized, if sounds are off, timer just ends
