Testinnplayin's Cloud Journey

I am testinnplayin: a back-end developer who is interested more and more in site reliability engineering and the cloud. I like the idea of mixing cloud and IoT and am very keen on these kinds of projects. I have never worked with either however.

I have very little experience in the cloud and would like to learn more. I need to start from the basics even though I have worked a bit on GCP in previous work experiences. This is a good opportunity to do so.

My goal with doing this is to at least have the basics down pat on one of the (or all of the) big three. I do want to be able to practice this on other cloud providers as well, since in countries outside of the US people are becoming keener to use more local options.
