I could really use docker.run() and container.start() in dockerode, what is your thoughts on grouping their functions into nodes?

I'll see what I can do in a fork when the plan is clear.

I'm running node-red in a docker container so I'm assuming the host needs to be docker.for.mac.localhost. I'm not sure what port to use.

Is it possible with this node to view the internal logs for a specific container? I'm using Docker on Unraid and have the connection to the daemon established. I'm getting the basic start, stop, kill, die, etc. commands for each container in Node-Red, but not the internal logs from within the container. I'm trying to use this to monitor the container logs for specific actions.

Would be useful to see this.

I'm running node-red from docker, so I'd like to volume mount /var/run/docker.sock to access the host docker environment but the params for the docker input node only take the host/port.

I'd like to request the option to set a socket path instead please.
