Tested on android 10, miui 12. Feel free to ignore/close if you don't like Miui or believe everything is their fault (judging by the readme) :D

Hi, I can't get the black theme, it's the one I chose before installing but I still ended up with the dark theme.
Also, a minor issue: every time I open the app I get a pop-up telling me to disable miui optimization even though I already did.

Upon attempting to install Vanced through the manager app, I get an error stating "operation failed because the app conflicts with an already installed app"

My ROM has signature spoofing too.

Upon opening the app it froze at the logo of Vanced manager and the prompt "Update Available" popped up twice back-to-back.
And then just the logo for several minutes.

Steps to reproduce:

Simple installation on a non-rooted phone which has a non-rooted Youtube Vanced and MicroG installed.

Further details:
Uninstalled all traces of Vanced Manager, Youtube Vanced, and MicroG (including "Clear Data" & Package folders if any existed then)

Still Froze on Logo with exemption of "Update Available" prompts

I have a screen recorder proof. Maybe it's a translation issue but I'm 100% positive that it's present.
I'm using non-root and the language is french.

I think it would be super cash money if, instead of five predetermined colors, we could choose a custom color using a color picker.

Youtube app keep updating silently even I disabled auto update on playstore like 3 days after I installed Vanced

Vanced, in the old times, used to work great as a Magisk Module.
So why isn't there any new Module for Magisk?
Is it that hard?

It would be great if users were able to build the microg that this app downloads ( https://vanced.app/api/v1/microg.json ) themself, for security reasons.
Alternatively it would be great to have the microg source public and a continuous integration that builds it, so that users can verify that the apk is built from source without dangerous modifications.

Hey guys, I just installed the app to try and test it but the app startup time was huge on my phone. I'm probably thinking this is due to a lot of fragments that are being loaded during app startup. I've forked the app and found some changes that can improve the app performance a bit.

Steps to reproduce:
Generally navigate around the app. Also Logcat was spamming with skipped frames message.

Further details:

When I select the 'Update' button, I receive a small pop-up message at the bottom of my screen and no update takes place.

The numbers change each time, but the 'b.d.a' part is consistent.

Title. The Vanced logo appears and then it immediately closes.

Edit: I'm on Manager hotfix v1.0.2 using Android 10 on a Samsung Galaxy A50.

Preferred video speed under Vanced Setting-Video is not working. Whenever playing a video it starts with default 1x speed.
In previous version, it was working.

Vanced Manager is a great way to install the .apks file. But I install .apks files through adb, since i do not want to disable MIUI optimizations which resets all app permissions.

So, it would be great if you also provide direct download link for files in vanced.app site.

So I installed Vanced Manager, and promptly used it to uninstall vanced and microg from my phone. Afterwards, however, when I click to install MicroG, the app just freezes and I am unable to click anything.
Any idea how I can troubleshoot this? I already gave Vanced Manager permission to install from unknown sources, and I deleted all previously installed APK files from my phone.

I think this is on your radar already, but I'll make an Issue here for completeness: the manager should allow the user to choose which version of Vanced to install. It's crucial for people like me who get more ads with 15.05.54 than with 14.21.54.

Grievance #1

Upon entering Vanced Manager the option to download Youtube Vanced is disabled, with the button saying No MicroG (but inactive). For starters why should i want MicroG just to use Youtube Vanced? Never have before.

Curiously, going into settings and enabling Root mode, and returning to main scree, the button is enabled...which leads us nicely to .....

Pressing the download button, take sme through to English (tick), Black (tick) starts downloading

config.xxxx for arm7 .apk completes
black.apk gets to about 3/4 and dies

Replicated about 20 times, with storage resetting, reboots etc...

Cannot get past this

Trying to download from vanced.app on phone yields .bin files...wtf? I assume a rename to .apks will work, but ....

Trying download on PC yields .apks files...this looks like how it should be...

If this is progress, i wish to remain a luddite :)

What goes wrong: After giving the go for the installation, I can see a config file and the app itself being downloaded (progress showed in the notification area), but then upon "Installing Vanced", the Manager closes itself, and the notification can be swiped away
No update is installed

Like u see in the screenshot, I get an error message if I hit the install button for microg if the apk was already downloaded.

Clear data
Turn internet off
Open manager
Turn internet on

My app has failed to install the YouTube Vanced three times now. Whenever I try it just seems to be "installing" forever.

What should I do?

App is downloading some files, which are necessary to install yt vanced. Where are they stored? I searched in download folder of internal storage and app's folders inside android/data, android/media and android/obb but couldn't find any of the previously downloaded files.

So the question is: what is the download path?

Hi, I installed Vanced Manager app on my Pixel 2 XL, rooted with Magisk (version cd6eca1d 20415).
When I open it and I click the "root" button on top right, as soon as the prompt to grant root permission appears, it disappears immediately and the app freezes/crashes with a subsequent Android warning that it says "Vanced Manager is not responding".

Once closed and reopened, by clicking on the "root" button again the app says me "Root access not granted". So I went to see if I could grant root permission directly from Magisk Manager, but Vanced Manager doesn't appear in the list.
(I also tried to disable the Magisk Manager prompt and to grant root access to all the apps that require it, but nothing)

*plus the app stucks on boot logo for a while before I can see the gui

Hii, i want to use this app on my redmi note 5 pro (WHYRED) It's crashing and buggy i really like this app hope you'll fix the issues.

In the app the dark and black theme are switched ; when installing black I get dark and the other way around too.

"Installa di nuovo" is too long, can you change it with: "Reinstalla"?
