It would be great if the importer would support importing posts with multiple images. Currently, only one image is extracted.

Maybe making it possible to choose what category it imports to.

Plug-in operates to some extent, but inserts empty data with no title and other content as zindexsolutions suggested in the previous tread.

Replacing with $url = 'https://graph.facebook.com/v2.0/' did not work in my instance of the plugin.

Suggestions:
(1) Fix plug-in to work with FB API 2.5
(2) Make post type regular WP post and not FB group type by default
(3) Pull avatars with the comments. Currently an empty avatar is showing.

I am suggesting the above as a easily done fix, since apparently a copycat has forked the plug-in and now selling it commercially:

They have the above 3 issues fixed and working in their free version, which excludes URLs, photos and videos attachments in the posts. Since the code is virtually the same, could their workaround for FB API 2.5 be simply copy-“borrowed” to make this free plug-in great again?

Video's in FB Group posts only copy a static image, usually first frame of video.

EDIT: Requested image import, but it seems this is already working, the issue was in my installation. Sorry for the unnecessary post, seems I can't remove this issue.

A while ago, I decided to close down a Facebook group that I was running, but I still chose to back up everything. I came across your plugin, and I used it to back up every Facebook post in that group. It is currently installed and each post available on a local instance of Wordpress on my Mac.

HOWEVER, I'm trying to get the posts transferred to a new Wordpress blog that's online, so I don't have to rely on this aging laptop just to keep this backup. I was able to export the blog's content using Wordpress's UI, set up port forwarding, and tried to import the XML file I had just exported to the new blog. However, much to my dismay, it only transferred the raw images from the various posts over the years. It did not transfer the post. When I attempted to transfer JUST the posts, I soon saw why in the XML document: It's only exporting the demo post that's included on every Wordpress install. The posts are still there on my local instance, but it appears there's no way of getting the Facebook posts exported.

Can someone please help me figure out how to transfer the posts? That Facebook group was deleted many years ago, so this is my only backup of everything in that group. I'd hate to have to hold on to my Mac for no other reason than to just maintain posts from an old Facebook group. Thank you in advance!

Posts with animated GIF's end up being imported as a single static image.

First of thanks for this great plugin, I'm finding great use for it and works really straight forward. Second, I'm pulling from an active group where some (mostly spam) posts are being deleted. It'd be great to check for deletions (and maybe edited posts later on), I'd love to contribute and write something for it, but I'm not sure what is the best way — probably it's synching in the other way -> checking if posts still exist. Other solution would be flagging posts with a timestamp when they're preventing duplicates, and afterwards delete all posts that have a less recent timestamp. Curious about your thoughts on this.

When fetching images it fetches a 130x130 image.

I am seeing a message being imported multiple times. Every half hour where the plugin imports it imports a status message witch is already imported. So I end up with multiple posts that are identical. The message is posted with a mobile if that is some sort of hint to why it keeps importing it.
It is the only message that are being imported multiple times.
