eleventy-plugin-sharp-respimg's Issues

dyld: Symbol not found: _g_once_impl

I've tried installing this plugin a few times but I keep getting the same error:
dyld: Symbol not found: _g_once_impl

I have the Sharp installed in my dependencies
"sharp": "^0.26.3"

I'm on BigSur MacOS and Node v14.15.3

I can't tell if this is an issues with Sharp or perhaps Homebrew? Any help would be appreciated.

Setting the formats

Is there a way to set what formats I'd like? Right now it seems to only use webp and jpeg. Some images may be better as a png.

๐Ÿšจ Phasing out this plugin and advising migration to eleventy-img

After giving this some thought, I'm going to advise all users of eleventy-plugin-sharp-respimg to migrate to the official responsive image plugin eleventy-img which is created by the Eleventy team.

This was a tough decision but I think its healthier for the 11ty community to first reach for the official eleventy-img before other user contributed options. This plugin had a good life, it helped get me acquainted with build-time image transformations using Sharp. And it provided a solid shortcode for creating responsive images.

With all that said, its time to phase it out. I won't delete or archive this repository anytime soon, but I don't plan on pushing any new changes or features moving forward. Feel free to continue using the plugin in your 11ty sites, but I highly recommend migrating to eleventy-img for a more robust and faster solution.

I advise users to migrate to the official eleventy-img plugin for handling build-time image transformations. If you're here for the eleventy-photo-gallery, versions v1.3.0+ now use eleventy-img :)

Not generating picture element.

Hi, I have tried to add this plugin to my project.

I have followed the instructions and added:
const respimg = require("eleventy-plugin-sharp-respimg");
to my the top of my .eleventy.js and
eleventyConfig.addPlugin(respimg);
to the bottom of module.exports

I then created _data/images.json and filled out all my images.
On build, they generate just fine and are placed in my _site asset folder.

Here's my _data/images.json:
https://pastebin.mozilla.org/ay2H4jD9

And here's my for-loop that I placed in a file called processImages.njk
https://pastebin.mozilla.org/OekXLjVX

The problem is that no picture element is generated - what am I doing wrong?
