The expert bundle with tor 0.4.8.9 is available, see https://www.torproject.org/download/tor/
Moreover, I think there's a problem with the current package. It says 0.4.8.7, but in fact it seems to install the older 0.4.7.15 (from expert bundle 12.5.6.
Thanks for maintaining this!
After installing itch it will automatically opens, which is i think undesirable.
I did not see dnSpy in the chocolatey packages, but they have you listed for the package.
https://chocolatey.org/packages/dnspy
The github release page for dnSpy removed the 6.1.7 binaries. Are you able to update to 6.1.8?
Just a heads up: Hashes don't match.
Downloading tinywall
from 'https://tinywall.pados.hu/ccount/click.php?id=3'
Progress: 100% - Completed download of C:\Users\***\AppData\Local\Temp\chocolatey\tinywall\2.1.20190316\TinyWallInstaller.msi (1.16 MB).
Download of TinyWallInstaller.msi (1.16 MB) completed.

When updating pia i get an error, the installer is referring to a non existing download:
remote file either doesn't exist, is unauthorized, or is forbidden for url 'https://installers.privateinternetaccess.com/download/pia-windows-x64-2.5-05652.exe'. Exception calling "GetResponse" with "0" argument(s): "The remote server returned an error: (403) Forbidden."
protonvpn is opens after installing, which i think is undesirable, it's better to close it after install.
New version is released and supports silent install https://github.com/microsoft/winget-pkgs/blob/master/manifests/i/ItchIo/Itch/25.5.1/ItchIo.Itch.installer.yaml#L14-L16
Chocolatey lets you use the --version
parameter to download a specific version of a package. However, doing this with Element-Desktop doesn't seem to work. The package itself is indeed the version that you specify using the parameter, but the installer that gets downloaded is for the latest version instead. I got 1.11.50 instead of 1.11.49.
Attempting to run exiftool 5.16.20211222 results in a message box with the error message:
Access violation at address 758AB248 in module 'shell32.dll'.
Read of address 05630070
From googling this seems to be a result of exiftoolgui trying and failing to write files to the directory it was run from, in this case C:\ProgramData\bin\
It always annoyed me so much that github-desktop
would not only show an intrusive UI, but also launch after install. /S /nolaunch
never worked for me
I did a good amount of research and finally found something that works: you simply have to pass -s
to GitHubDesktopSetup-x64.exe
For now, I'll add --ia="'-s'"
to my choco backups. I tested it and it works, I believe you'll end up making it default.
Thanks for maintaining the package!
โฆ in words, sorry man, I have a thing against forking. Tried doing it the "clone way", even installed some commandline tool "hub" from GitHub, but I have other stuff to do. Hope this helps

Consider passing the actual checksums through with --checksum --checksum64 once you validate the checksums are appropriate. A less secure option is to pass --ignore-checksums if necessary.

Can you please have a look ?
Thanks
In this repo, github-desktop was updated on Mar 5 (just over 1 month ago) to version 3.2.0.
On chocolately, the package is at version 3.1.8; 3.2.0 doesn't appear to have been pushed to chocolatey.
Also, version 3.2.1 was released a couple of days ago.
Thank you
The installation fails with a checksum error.
current major version is now 3.x https://github.com/ProtonVPN/win-app
The checksum for the 64-bit version of Magica Voxel is incorrect and the package refuses to install as a result.

Uninstallview Version 1.30 has a new checksum, so the installation fails. Actually, it looks like 1.31 is out. Not sure why 1.30 was downloaded unless the location changed.
See here:
https://www.privateinternetaccess.com/pages/download
v82 is out, the choco package is only v81:
https://chocolatey.org/packages/pia
Version 1.3.2 is available (or version 132 as you use) for both 32 and 64-bit.
Broken URL when installing, attempting several times and even attempted the URL through browser. Not sure if intentional but there's a glob/asterisk thing in the URL. The .zip from author website works but is not chocolatey package.

Installation of IDA Free with choco install ida-free
currently fails with the following error:
Error - hashes do not match. Actual value was '64C4073CA57DC612963413C337FD7F802BF812E01E655D0F4F33827342F7A772'.
The advertised SHA1 hash of the installer does indeed match my local file, so I am led to believe that the file is intact, but the version distributed by HexRays has changed in some way.
Update with more info:
Current SHA256 hash checked by the install script:
4C96E3AE2B33D5D69F338E332B548410252A89092A0305335705BE650162C3CE
SHA256 hash of valid file:
64C4073CA57DC612963413C337FD7F802BF812E01E655D0F4F33827342F7A772
Also, as a side-issue, forcing install with --ignore-checksums
returns a pop-up message indicating that the parameters "/VERYSILENT /SUPPRESSMSGBOXES /NORESTART /SP-" failed to validate, and that parameters should start with "--". I am not sure whether those parameters are specifically targeted towards the IDA installer or if they are universal and they simply changed their installer.

By default itch will spit HUGE number of errors when you install it, it will be better to hide this spam by default.

I just ran a clean install of PIA on my Win11 x64 system and received an error message from AutoHotKey during the installation. It does not appear to block the installation, as PIA installed and automatically started.
Side-note, it would be much better if it didn't auto-start as that can interfere with bulk package updates (like when running choco update all
). Any packages that attempt to download while the VPN is being established will fail, then any other after tunnel is established will be at lower speeds.

Hi,
It seems that PyCharm is out of date and not automatically updating.
I have a setup running to automatically update other JetBrains packages (like pycharm-community, clion-ide and goland)
If you want I an willing to automatically maintain this package in my repo using AU.
Please let me know what you want to do.

For those who find this page, Nvcleanstall is the best alternative at the moment. It's available from Scoop's "extras" bucket, but it is not yet available from Chocolatey.
The current version of Insomnia on chocolatey that you maintain is v2023.5.8 but the latest version is v8.3.0 (They changed the versioning, following the previous versioning it would be v2023.8.3.0).
https://insomnia.rest/changelog#8.3.0
It would be appreciated if you could update this at your earliest convenience. Thank you.
Hey there,
why is your signal package just extracting the NSIS Installer instead of running it?
All I end up with are the installer components in the tools dir, with the Signal.exe still only inside app-64.7z.

Default installer installs Terminus/Tabby in user profile's folder. This is ok and proper for desktop.
In some case's I'd suggest to add choco parameters allowing us to use '/allusers /s' install parameters in some 'per server' installations.
Optionally we could also add the Installed folder to PATH as it's nice to run tabby by name instead of clicking an icon.
The Todoist package is very outdated. You might want to either update it or just remove to avoid confusion.
Thanks :)

As the zip exists on Google Drive, the link will likely need to be periodically updated.
If instead the latest beta off of the GitHub is used, then this will likely not be an issue.
A new version of brave is out.
Also when you try to uninstall the package via choco it will keep the files and you will have to uninstall using windows uninstaller.
Hello,
I would love to see ProtonDrive added to Chocolatey.
Since you already support ProtonVPN I thought that you
might be the right person to add ProtonDrive as well.
And thanks for maintaining so much Software I use.
Do you have a buymeacoffee page?
Kind regards,
Kevin
So riot-web has rebranded to Element.
https://element.io/blog/welcome-to-element/
The package name element
is available on chocolatey.org, so maybe deprecate the riot-web
package and have that last version depend on a new element
package?
Also, would it be possible for the installers to be included inside the package instead of downloaded at runtime?
